Just had my 330Ci Terra Cleaned and resprayed (original Colour) Looks and goes great for a 200K miles. Owned it for 10 years now and have just ordered a 330e, but am keeping this one. Still love it!

Did you get chance to select a fitting '69' plate?

I already had my own I purchased from DVLA site waiting to go on smile - But yes the dealer does allow you to choose from a selection they have. Not required in my case though.

My relatively new (to me) F31 D3, just had an interim oil service completed. Needs a clean!

That's lovely. What number?
Sorry I missed this, it is #002 - I understand it was the first UK F31 touring.

Cheers
Spent 6 months looking for one of these in the right spec, stunning car
Cheers, I think I just got lucky with timing, I was surprised how many didn’t have Pro-Nav! I ended up compromising on the colour for the spec, I would have loved Alpina Green or Alpina Blue, or Grey with contrasting tan/brown interior.

Off the top of my head mine has pan roof, pro nav, enhanced blue tooth, high-beam assist, reversing camera, 20 inch wheels, folding mirrors, shadow line gloss black exterior trim, privacy glass, detachable tow bar, black headlining, silver leather edged Alpina floor mats, silver leather Alpina stripes on the headrests and silver stitched steering wheel.

I also wanted a sub 60k mile example to enable me to put a BMW warranty on the car, unfortunately BMW warranty seem to put Alpina models in the same price bracket as M cars!

Thankfully it had discs and pads all round and 4 x new Michelin PS4S tyres earlier this year, which saved me some £££’s.
Me too Tonk68, and I couldn't find one so ended up ordering new - D3 number #242, in F31 guise too of course. Settling for a D5 must have taken some of the pain away!

Good taste CB987, I went for Mineral Grey with Saddle Brown interior (top of dash in black). Went a bit crazy with options as it was my first new car (first BMW in fact) and it will be a keeper....pan roof, pro-nav, HUD, Limited Slip Diff, Harman Kardon, LEDs with high-beam assist, and 20 inch wheels too (obviously).

Burnham - I very nearly sent you a message on the Alpina forum asking whether you would consider selling, as your colour and spec was pretty much perfect! Your spec sounds very similar to the ex-Bramley Grey/Saddle F31 D3 which cropped up earlier this year. The high miles were the only reason I didn't go for that car.

My plan is to save some pennies and hopefully move to a G21 B3 in a few years time....

Thats crazy, you are right as my spec was based on the Bramley car when they sold it first time around! I missed the opportunity to buy it then (this would have been about 3-years ago now), so ended up ordering a new one based on that cars colours. thumbup

My new beastie, all of 69k on the clock, full history, has been spared no expense before I bought it and inspected by a specialist today who said it was probably the cleanest one he'd seen for some years smile

Next up is a new Alpine Satnav/infotainment system and a stage 1 remap smile

Went to the coast for a few days at the weekend, as it’s a 530e the boot isn’t the biggest so went for full touring spec! Massive overkill for one night away but kept the family happy being able to take absolutely everything they wanted!

I also still never go away without washing the car laugh

Just saw a 69 plate ‘X3M Competition’

Real?

Didn’t even know such a thing existed!

Yeah, it's real. The ///M stuff now comes in 'regular' M, and 'competition' spec now too. It used to be a run out special, but now is more of a trim level for the M car.

When has the competition been a run out special? It started out as an option pack you ticked on the E9* M3 and then became a regular model variant from there.

The X3M is only available as a competition in the UK.

My understanding was the F10 was, just before the facelift happened, and then the competition pack for the M3/4 when they were coming to the end of their lives too.

However I have been wrong before. smile
