It sure does. But when it was launched, the door-to-dashboard interface just looked odd - and I still think it looks a bit 'afterthought'. Why not make them look like the same person designed each piece?
The E36 looked cleaner:
I'll tell you why that is, The Americans. The E36 looked cleaner:
US Regulations found that Americans did not wear their seatbelts, and as a result they were doing all sort of bad things, like going under the dash, and being killed by airbags. As a result, the U.S Government said there had to be more space between the airbag and dash trims/occupant. BMW did this by adding more padding to USDM cars. in the E39 5 series, the dash and door trims don't line up on USDM models.

Agree and those wheels do look awesome.
These photos are making me seriously want a E39!

That is lovely. I've toyed with replacing my F11 with one when the time comes - but probably won't. The F11 performs load lugging duties in an admirable way, so it will probably eventually be replaced by something similar OR SUV-like when the time comes.
If you want a better load-lugger than the F11, buy an E39 Touring. I had both for a month and was astonished to find that the E39's boot was considerably bigger, especially in width (so I was able to get my bike in with the rear seats up, whereas carrying it in the F11 reduced it to a 2-seater), and the E39's load floor is lower. Altogether a much more useful beast and far better to drive than its grandson. My new ride. BMW 325ci manual. Sold my 118d coupe in January and spent ages and ages looking and thinking of a replacement. Was adamant I wanted a 330ci auto convertible, then I wanted a Z4, then an E93. In the end it had to be an E46, always wanted one since I was a kid and one of the best looking cars ever.
Not the best photo but will get some better ones soon.

Totally agree, BMW may not look as fancy as the fawned over Audi, but they are spot on from a driver's perspective. The controls fall to hand and just feel right.
The iDrive has not been bettered by any contemporary rival (obviously the CCC is no good these days).
However, I'm not so sure about the current range. There has been a creep of chintz and the new digital dials seem different for the sake of it.

Picked this up at the tail end of lat summer. After several years of flitting between BMW's and Jags, most recently an XFS (because I needed a Diesel for work... 6 months and it bored the life out of me :-( ), I spent a fair amount of time hunting this down, in what to me is the perfect spec;
2018 MY 440i
Snapper Rocks Blue
Perf Alloys
Carbon Aero
HK Audio
MPPSK
Manual Gearbox
Don't know how many others there are in this spec?

My retirement treat. '13MY 30d. Slightly above average miles, but otherwise VGC. Professional nav, sport seats in Oyster. I had a Webasto electric tilt & slide 'roof fitted.
My third BMW. Previously ran an LPG-converted '91 E30 320i touring with a 2.7 lump for 10 years/115k miles. When that succumbed to terminal rot, I replaced it with an '03 E46 330d.
