took the plunge, had some brave pills and put my big boy pants on.
Chopped in my 1.6 diesel civic for a 2009 Z4 Sdrive 35i DCT yesterday.
We have an i3 so i figured we are saving enough carbon day to day to offset something fun for the weekend!
it's not perfect, needs some cosmetic touch-ups here and there, and i think some mechanical suspension parts could do with a freshen up but overall, really happy. - Comments, hints, tips and suggestions welcomed.

Loving the Z4 35i - is it an IS? I was looking at these in some detail before I bought my 2 series. Lovely cars, I think they will well on their way to classicdom!
No - the 306bhp standard 35i - the S was just a little too rich for me and i figured a remap alone sees mine to around 370bhp so that'll do!Thanks, I swapped the mirrors for M4 style a few weeks ago, and today after a lot of effort and bleeding fingers I got the M2 kidneys in. Subtle mods, but to me, very effective. The Mineral Grey against silver mirrors and chrome grills just didn't quite work for me. I want to keep the car as stock as I can, with only those things that are worthwhile doing.

If it is the N55 I suspect you will see 380 ish with a decent tuner, possibly more with air filter, fresh spark plugs and some decent fuel.Dizeee said:

Was going to mention earlier, your Z4 - your not from Surrey are you? That looks suspiciously like a place I went to last year looking at a Z4 35i, on Red Road by Deepcut.
no, not me, or the car Mr Tidy said:
That's a great fleet, but I would say that as I've got much the same without the 1 Series.
I had a 330i and a 3.0Si Z4 Coupe but swapped that for an M Coupe last December.
The photo was taken before I sold the 3.0Si!

Unfortunately my wife needs an auto so that rules out a Z4MC for us. Hoping i have the good sense to keep the Z4C and not let it go. They're such a head turner (the Z4MC moreso i'm sure!) and such cracking VFM currently.

I agree the Z4Cs do seem cheap for what you get so try to hang onto yours! I bought my 1st in 2014 and foolishly agreed to sell it in 2016 so 3 days later went and found its replacement! To most people not on these pages I doubt they'd know the difference between the 3.0Si and the M, but the driving experience is quite different.
My (new to me) 535d Touring. Purchased after 18mths in a 320d saloon since I was in real need of a lot more space for my two kids. I also really missed the pace of a 535d, having owned a saloon on a 15 plate a few years ago and I always regretted selling it. I had tried to prove the concept that a 320d is all the car you would ever need, which in many ways it is, but it feels great to be back in a 3.0 litre. It will be mostly used for pottering up and down the M6 and M1 for 80 miles a day and longer trips at the weekend with a few foreign trips planned in it for later this year. Very well specced by the last owner with with the comfort seats which are quite rare in the M Sport and lots of other goodies, no sunroof though which i was really hopeing for. Treated it to a full paint correction and detail a few weeks after purchase which has really cleaned up all the swirl marks. Might get the wheels redone at some point as they have had a few dodgy smart repairs in the past but other than that it should do me for a fair few years to come. As an all rounder it feels like not much comes close!
