As a biker I came across these and they strongly appeal due to the ease and convenience, does yours have the TFT dash? Also considering the Honda X-ADV, with a Termi end can they sound lush.Ease of use, comfort, and low maintenance (no chain) is the draw for scooters, as well as a bit of storage space under the seat (not the C400's strong point)
It's quick enough to 50mph, but over that you'll find it slow after a decent sized bike. Mid speed overtakes take a bit more careful planning so I've just accepted a more sedate style of riding for it.
I had a 300 Forza briefly before sending it back to the dealer so if you're considering one of those PM me first.
Mine doesn't have the TFT dash and was a bargain as a result. New price £7790. I paid £4995 for mine, done 380 miles.
Having never had a BMW until 3 years ago, we ended up with 2. The m240i was sold last week, a good car dominated by the engine. Lack of sterring feel and poor suspension were my main issues with it, but I enjoyed owning it and the engine makes it much more interesting than many of the alternatives. However, I always thought I should have paid a bit more for the M2 (non competition at the time), but it was a good daily.
It lost daily status when the i3s came along 10 months ago, the main commuter and run around car, it is brilliant as an A to B car, and fun to drive in its own way. It will be with us for another couple of years but with the m240i gone and a baby on the way, i've been looking at estates, with the f31 340i or g21 m340i tourings as leading candidates, so there may be another BMW on the driveway soon.

Off topic slightly.
I'm looking at E36 M3 Coupe's at the moment to buy and use not mothball or drift into a ditch and just out of the corner of my eye M135i Coupe's keep jumping out at me.
The M135i is nice looking (nicer than any of the post Bangle M cars if you ask me) and nowhere near as big as the newer M3's. I like the white one with the retro 2002 turbo graphics. One I have seen is £5,000 less than the M3 I had ear marked. On paper the newer car wipes the floor with the older model as you would expect. Thankfully we don't drive on paper. The newer car has better security so add a decent alarm and tracker to the M3 budget. Both cars I'm looking at are six speed manuals (still not interested in automatics), both six cylinder engines; but does is the M135i a real "M" car in as much as the way the car feels? Does it have the versatility of the M3 happy to drive to the shops or round a race track?
I'll have roughly £10,000-15,000 budget.
What would you guys get out of the two E36 M3 Coupe or M135i Coupe?

I wouldn't like to think I was using my E36 M3 anywhere near regularly..... I use my M235i probably the most of all over all my cars even the 640d and i8,I do around 12000 miles a year in it,great all round cars imo, mine is auto....I'm looking at E36 M3 Coupe's at the moment to buy and use not mothball or drift into a ditch and just out of the corner of my eye M135i Coupe's keep jumping out at me.

Do you mean 135i Coupe (E82) or M135i 3 door (F21)?
For your budget I would also throw a M235i into the mix; maybe even a M240i at the top end. Commonly referred to as "M-lites", they have their quirks, and may not tick your boxes, but I'm throwing it in there anyhow!
I'm sure some E36 M3 owners will be along with their "daily driver" experiences, but given the newest of them is now 22 years old, you can expect some maintenance bills if you go down that road.
Keep us posted.

It will be an N55 if it is the later 135,. That's not an M135 though what you posted, it is a 135.The M135 came after. Post up your question on BabyBMW and you will get a world of responses, too much detail to go onto on here.

i was originally looking for a 135i convertible - it was the engine i wanted... then i started learning it was the same engine in the 335i, the z4 35i etcthen i went to see the z4 and i couldn't say no.. it just looked so much more interesting.
if you didn't know..
N54 twin turbo
N55 twin scroll single turbo
both put out the same power but the N55 is the better engine, better because it responds better to tuning and is slightly better on fuel.
DON'T buy the 335i with the N54 engine, its £500 a year to tax !
N54 with just software goes to about 360 ish bhp
N55 with the same goes to 380 ish bhp.

I had a 2009 e91 335i LCI with the n54 engine and these are £300ish road tax not £580. Even with old school auto box. The manual 335i were all lower road tax. Only the LCI 335i auto were lower tax.
The n54 engine uses 2 single turbos this is true. It is much much better at holding up to big power tuning as it come standard with stuff like forged rods. I am a bit sketchy on the exact details but I know that its a better engine for tuning.
The B3 Alpina continued to use the n54 in the f30 long after BMW switched to exclusively using the n55 because they believed it to be the better engine producing more power.
The BMW 1M also used the n54.
The n54 won various awards when it was launched.
The n54 is a great great engine. One of BMW best ever.

3.0 335i SE 2dr - N54 - 238g/km - £565 to tax.I had a 2009 e91 335i LCI with the n54 engine and these are £300ish road tax not £580. Even with old school auto box. The manual 335i were all lower road tax. Only the LCI 335i auto were lower tax.
the N54 is a fantastic engine but on a remap alone it doesn't see as much of an improvement as you would on the N55.
i'm glad you the N54 won awards, it's what is in my Z4 !
