Lovely colour on that shape.

Interesting solution to the chrome and rubber on the front spoiler.
Might be wrong but think it's a bit like the E21 Motorsport spoiler where they ditched the chrome and usually just had the black rubber strip? (not fitted here obviously)

6 series is the only model of this era I've not owned. Looks great and this is no slouch either.

Back into a BMW again and more specifically, a B58.

340i mSport Shadow Edition with HUD and a few options. Not as roomy and the interior isn't quite on par with the 540i I used to have but it handles better and is much more fun. It feels really compact like my old M135i did. So far, I absolutely love it.

Hi, and thanks. It's an aftermarket GRP bumper that's a blend of a couple of different styles. It weighs much, much less than the standard bumper which is half steel, half plastic with chrome and chunky old fog lights!

I stopped in nearly that exact place last year, in my Z4M, to comply with the thread, bonnet in shot hehe

hehe I got back into the car after taking that pic and hoofed it. The wife rolled her eyes, "I knew you were going to do that". I mean, how could you not?

Just sold my 997 GTS as needed a more flexible family car. Picked up my first ever BMW was looking for a touring but this 340i saloon appeared locally with a Quaife diff and M performance brakes fitted with only 20k miles was too tempting. Shame about the blacked out rear glass but hey..
Really impressed by the B58.. I have already played around a bit. Came on tired Cup2’s so quickly onto Conti Sports 7 (been keen to see what the are like after the obligatory MPS4S on the 911)

Then some googling and Bootmod3 seemed intriguing. So a few days later and stage 1 multi maps loaded. Its made the car feel very boosted. In fact almost too much for my taste. I may well get a custom map with a more progressive feel.

The last update was too add Apple CarPlay - was surprised to find it missing. BMW said ‘not possible’ but again google to the rescue. I discovered the ‘enhanced Bluetooth’ package I was missing consisted of a £7 wifi antenna and for £35 you could buy the coding on eBay.

So a slightly anxious coding session on a very old windows laptop and bang. CarPlay all sorted. smile

That’s about all to report for now. Next steps will be 18” wheels in the summer to replace the nice looking but too big 20’s and then probably look at some suspension tweaks?
I’d like to try and dial out some of the understeer?

A few heavily edited images below! smile

That looks superb; great colour too cool

I've got the 18" 405Ms as my summer wheels with Goodyear Assym6s and they were the best thing I did to my F31 - they're forged, so c9kg a corner and you can really notice the difference too (my current winters are 397s and they're nearly 15kg a corner)!

Get a thread going in the Readers Cars section wink

Thanks the colour was another thing which swayed my from a touring.. got a roof rack instead. Ok a set of 18’s 405 are on the shopping list. Will have to wait now as just got new rubber. Not sure I’ll keep enough updates to warrant a thread in readers cars! smile
