I collected my new iX in mid December and it's going well so far. Loads of space, extremely quiet in the cabin and love the tech smile

Nice.

Once you go electric for a daily it's hard to go back. I don't think I'll ever go back to ICE for a daily (I'll add the forthcoming M5 touring as one possible exemption to that statement).

Not an i7 but an older Seven Series - I took this out for a spin today while I was shuffling cars around the driveway...

I test drove an i4 on Monday and had the same thought. An ICE would still be the default choice for fun motoring but I can see the benefit in doing the boring miles / errands / commute / daily miles in an electric car.

That's lovely; the M52 is a superb engine... Great colour too!

Manual?

Yes a manual. Engine and gearbox make a great combo.

I ran an i4 for 18k miles. Ideal for the job, but the i5 (which wasn't available when I got my i4) is a step-up in terms of comfort / waft.

EV also makes ICE seem even more special given the contrast.

That looks great! I keep thinking about one as a daily but not sure if it’s viable.

Nice 8 series as well!

I can't believe the i8 is 10 years old now.... This is mine when Brand New with my 8 Series. I personally struggled with the i8 as a daily as it wad just not practical enough and a little to much drama for daily use...cool
