Looks great that Dan.
Was it the one in Lancs that had been for sale a little while?
It was pal; from ManchesterWas it the one in Lancs that had been for sale a little while?
In all honesty the asking prices he wanted for that and the Jap import E38 740i were too high
I gave him the price I was prepared to pay and was also fine to walk away; I started to get into the car for him to drop me off at the train station... Then the deal was agreed
(Very) occasional poster on the wider forum, first post in the Bimmer section. Moved house earlier this year, offers me a garage space. Didn’t wast too much time, bought this beaut from a garage in W Sussex. 2005 325i MSport manual, completely standard and original. 1 careful lady owner, book of invoices that’d choke a horse, 100k miles and drives like 40k. Paid top dollar for it I’m afraid but, as I am less than competent with a spanner, buying for a couple of Gs less with accompanying issues doesn’t really strike me as value.
The Range Rover hasn’t turned a wheel since I got it (don’t tell the classic car insurance people!), the only issue so far was driving the 8 hours back home with the roof down the whole way I burnt me nut!

Took ownership of my F82 M4 a few months ago now. I had a 987 Cayman before, but the chance to own this came up and so got rid of it sooner than I had originally planned - a good decision but massively different cars!
Negatives are that I miss the size, the balance, the NA engine and manual gearbox (M4 has DCT) of the Porsche. Positives, the M4 is way more practical, comfortable, much faster and looks great. I can't complain
First job was to get four Michelin PS4S on there, transformed the car coming off some old Contis with zero traction. Loving it!

Very nice! Love the colour. Negatives are that I miss the size, the balance, the NA engine and manual gearbox (M4 has DCT) of the Porsche. Positives, the M4 is way more practical, comfortable, much faster and looks great. I can't complain

Just joined the forum so here's a pic of my 2003 E46 M3, non sunroof, manual trans.
Owned it for 3 years ,now on 132k, had the big jobs done BE bearings, boot floor, vanos & diff.
Also new std dampers, eibach springs, various poly bushes, driveshaft cvs, the list goes on..
Lovely. I really regret ‘missing the boat’ on these. I can only really justify having one car which has to be a daily which these were when they were around £10k but now they’re approaching £20k they are out of reach for me. Cheers. They have gone up quite a lot in the 3 years I've had mine, I paid <9k however spent half as much again on maintenance so would only break even, if I sold it. My 645Ci. This has just appeared in a Reader's Car thread, but it seemed appropriate to park it here too. Behind it is the everyday 330d coupe, which inspired me to go fully BMW in my pair.
Still to be sold is my 2013 Merc SLK350; good in many ways but I didn't spend anything as much time looking at pictures for that as I did for the 645.
Owned for two months and 600 miles, enjoying it very much though still not used to 20 inch wheels or the visible swiping left of the fuel gauge needle. The suspension has been slightly lowered for the wheels, so it wouldn't be a straight swap. Time will tell.
Offside headlamp isn't working on dip; this seems to be the fault of the connectors, so a bumper-off job to get this sorted. Or at least my (honest and trusted) spannermen tell me.
