Hi guys n girls,

Just bought a 120d SE on a 55 plate as the daily runner...just wondering if anyone knows how to remove the stereo?

Initially really pleased with it and think it feels as tight and firm as the brand new ones I've tested.....not a single rattle or creak!

Thanks in advance for your help,

I know how to do it on a 3 (E46). I can't recall the layout of a 1 but it may be similar. Remove trim between passenger air bag and glove box that goes across dash. Wood/carbon/silver. Prise it out using plastic tyre levers or similar. This should release the trim around the radio, prise this out and reveal the two screws that hold the radio in. HTH

Mind how you go with the trim, it has about 3cm locator studs that go into plastic locators, they are quite secure. If you start at the left hand end you should see it appear as you prise. Remember tho this is how I did it on a 3 series.
