Really? I thought these engines were supremely robust?! Is that tuned or standard engines?
Standard and tuned... 320d usually.

A flap i think on the inlet manifold breaks off an lunches the turbo and sometimes engine. Its nothing to do with tuning its just the design. Preventative measures can be taken mate!
Make up your mind!

For what its worth I'm in the same position. I bought my nicely spec'd full history 320d for a great price, although I considered a 330d for quite some time. In the end it came down to better & cheaper 320d's being available, along with the cheaper running costs as was mentioned previously. A recent rolling road day proved my car is spot-on for standard power and actually up on torque, but now i'm hungry for a bit more of both...

I've been looking at AmD Technik at Thurrock and they come in at a similar price to DMS, either way i'd be interested (and know a couple of others) if anyone's interested in some kind of group buy - and somewhere that warranties the work gets my vote!

Do DMS use a standard new map or do they do custom re-maps unique to the car? Are there any benefits of a custom re-map? I'm dubious of someone just plugging in a standard new map to my car.

We don't sell maps, but i can get you a group discount with Simon at Emaps, or a couple of other places as well.
