What ED features are on the 335d touring? I think it should be electric power steering and flaps on the kidney grille that close when the engine is warming up.

I've just done 1800 miles running in the car, and only got 34.5mpg. I'm trying to work out if the car is an ED car or if I've got an old one. (It's on 08 plate.)

Hi Ed,

Yours is ED.

It will have (iGR) Brake Energy Regeneration, (iAC) Intelligent Alternator Control and Hydraulic power steering.

You'll need to put some more miles on it to start getting better MPG and the flaps are only on a 1 series.

Take it you got it in time to take it skiing?

Yes, it went skiing with me. DTC was turned off on the snowy roads, highly entertaining. smile I don't think 35mpg is too bad really, considering we were doing 90-100 for pretty much all of France.

I'll have to give it a few more miles to loosen up and see if I can get into the late 30s.

My LCI 535d averaged 35-37mpg but it took several thousand miles to get to that. It could break 40mpg on long runs, probably on cruise control and sticking to speed limits.

Yes, if I leave it on cruise at about the legal limit then it gets lowish 40's, it is cross country and town stuff that hurts it
