It's becuase of the way you come across when you post. You come across that you and your car are better than anyone elses, so it's hardly suprising some people take issue.
Whilst it's good that your Dad helped you acheive what most people need to wait until they are 40 to manage, you dont need to rub everyones noses in it at every possible opportunity.
If you stop doing that, you'll probably stop having issues

I read all the posts and didnt read it like that at all. Interesting observation about the 40 thing though - i'm 39 and in that arena of car spend. Makes me feel old now. :-(Whilst it's good that your Dad helped you acheive what most people need to wait until they are 40 to manage, you dont need to rub everyones noses in it at every possible opportunity.

I have to concur with this carlos,Whilst it's good that your Dad helped you acheive what most people need to wait until they are 40 to manage, you dont need to rub everyones noses in it at every possible opportunity.

You do pop up in some of the most obscure threads bumming the mighty diesel power, the most recent being (i remember reading) some guy asking experiences of remapping his 525 and you had to get in how awesome the 35d is.
Maybe get the 996T and then you can get that in the photo shoot.

as an aside, how would you qualify your statement?
Could you do 20,000 miles of town, motorway, A and B road driving in a Ferrari 355 with little more than a £300 service? Could you leave it parked in a multistorey carpark with ease?I've done the best part of 20k of town, motorway, A&B roads, car parks, DIY runs, etc in 911s on less than £600 if that counts
If you ask PHer 993RSR what he thinks, you'll receive an overwhelmingly positive response to the '35d thingy.
His manifests as a 335d Touring and exists amongst a great collection of masterpieces including a Carrera GT. Which gets driven, ever so slightly, btw.
My man Reggie has the coup and there is not one aspect of it's repertoire you could sensibly criticise; it even sounds a bit 'classic Bee-Em snarl six' when hoofing, where hoofing = a default condition.
I think I am rather narrow sightedly blinkered against fuel Satanique but otherwise, real people with their own money for just one car in the day-to-day? I'd probably join the party.

I love it when grown (assumption) men get all hot under the collar and squable like my 8 year old daughter over something so pointless........
Der you have hit the nail on the head sir.
I'll grant you that DXB has in the past said some daft things about his 335 but an all out attack on the car and brand he drives is the most childish thing I have read on this fading forum!
