What wheels are these?

Can anyone help me identify these wheels? They're fitted with 225/50 R16 size tyres if that helps.

I've seen those on display in BMW dealerships and accessories catalogues. I'm not sure that they are standard on any car, but they are definitely optional OEM.

Definitely look like Style 25 Classics to me Rich.

If they're 7x16s they're off an E36 if they're ET46.

The E38 7 series are 8x16s and weigh a lot more

Great thanks for that - you lot certainly are a knowledgeable bunch, they were fitted to an E36 that I ended up breaking. I just wanted to know what they were called to put in the advert title for Ebay.

Did they rub at all? I've got an E36 325tds touring with 205/55 R15's at the moment - these look a lot bigger so I didn't want to risk them rubbing.

They shouldn't rub at all Rich - it was an optional size on E36s - if the sticker's still on your door jamb it should confirm

No they were fine.

They were on the car when I bought it. I have seen them on a few others so assumed they were standard factory fit (or a factory option at least)

Cool. I've put them up for sale but if they're still kicking about when I need some new tyres I'll give them a try. I don't really want to increase the gearing as I use the car for towing a track car on a trailer and feel it's geared high enough already (80mph in 3rd for a diesel!)
