Just getting a set of 18" MVII Rims for my 320Ci, but i understand the tyre options to be either 225/40's or 215/35's - What do most people go for?

I can see the 215/35's looking a bit odd as the Tyres surely look to small on the car??

Surely the tyre size will depend on what you had originally on the car and on the width of the wheels you're putting on - otherwise your speedo will be wildly over/under reading.

There's also a 5% difference between a 215/35 and a 225/40.

If it's a 7j rim then 215/225 is fine, if it's an 8j rim then 235/245 is fine, if it's a 9j rim then 245-265 will be fine.

Try this tyre calculator to see which size is closest to your originals http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Yeah i agree completely but thought people with 3 Series Coupe's would know exactly which Tyre size is the "norm" with 18" BMW wheels (8" wide i believe) but either way just the standard 18" MV Alloys really..... I think 225/40 seems more like it personally.
