E39 528, possible crashy front suspension

I've just picked up a 528 and have noticed that the front suspension feels a little crashy when going over bumps. As I've just come from an Integra Type R I'm not sure if I am just expecting too much or whether my suspension is as it should be. Is there anything I can have checked just to make sure the suspension is doing a proper job?
