Why not just site a microphone somewhere in the vicinity of your exhaust pipe.
Route it to your car stero - hey presto amplified car exhaust at any volume you want. You could even buy a simple graphic equaliser and tune the output to get your exhaust to sound exactly as you want it to.

Problem solved and it's completely and simply reversible.

What a good idea but I wouldn't want to copy you. Do you have the Harry Moss graphic? Plus it's the sound outside I am after, not the noise inside.

You mean a proper racket and falls to bits as you drive it? The 530 BMW is a proper car though!

Thank you TW but I am sure your 530 is also a lovely car. I really wanted the V8 as I do not do big mileage and I only have a license for an auto and thought the smaller engined cars might suffer performance from this.

I was very lucky that my car was very well specified as it was originally a BMW UK car before I got it so it had "M" tech trim and genuine M5 wheels.

It has given me a good basis to personalise and play with plus it was the colour and trim combo I would have chosen had I ordered it new.

I dont have many but I will take some and post as I do bits and pieces to the car. I think my next upgrade will be the brakes to be refurbished and uprated. Will do a post on that with some pics and video maybe.
