E46 318 Coupe Starting Problem
Discussion
Just returned from a 4 week family break and upon our return find one of the fleet to have problems.
The car is an E46 Coupe 318 on a 51 plate, ran beautifully before the holiday but now seems to show no signs of life at all.
First up, the remote key fob does not work and neither did the actual key in the lock. So to gain access to the car, the boot was opened from the key (only the boot opened from the key!) and someone drew the short straw of having to crawl in once the back seats were levelled.
No lights in the cabin work whatsoever, even the alarm LED.
We tryed jump starting it but it was completely dead so I presume this rules out a flat battery?
Anyone have any ideas on what it could possibly be? Granted it could be anything, but someone on here must have more of an idea than me.

Can you borrow a battery from a friend to test first? It's probably the easiest thing to fix so you might as well start there even if you have your doubts. My car was the same when the battery was so old and knackered that it couldn't be charged anymore, though my car could be jump-started... but the battery would till be my first port of call.
