E34 LSD

Hi All,

Just bought an '89 E34 525 and wanted to turn it into a cheap drift car. What sort of LSD do i need to fit? Anyone know where I can get one and approx prices?

The 535i sport came with an LSD so I presume the 525i sport did as well so you should be able to swap out the standard diff with the lsd from the 2.5 sport model (or even the 3.5 if it fits).

Or even cheaper and weld up the open diff. Perfectly usable with it welded, just a bit more understeer. It's what most drifters do on a budget.
///M diffs are only 25% locking anyway, you can modify the ramp angles and add more plates but welding costs virtually nothing.
