As the excitement about the TT is already building within BB, it's about time we had the annual debate.

I'll start the opening bidding with this trouncing of a Grp-N scooby by a WRF 450 Enduro down a twisty road...

Well, it's been done before on PH...

Lap record is, I believe 131.578mph. Tony Pond achieved just over 100mph in a boggo Rover Vitesse. I'm sure the times would be a lot more similar with some more exotic chariot.

Sweet jesus. Ebay resistors, house rental vs buying, CO2 and now bike vs car all in one day

I'm having to remember to breathe as my body has just lost the will to do it autonomously

Just put that Tony Pond fact in perspective as its punted out a lot, the 125cc bikes are doing laps at around 110MPH ...

The IoM has lots of fast sweeping corners and not many real tight ones , well suited to the bikes

Im pretty sure the car that could go round at 130ish MPH wouldnt be anything like road legal, certainly much further away than what the bikes are.

I realise that, I was simply wondering what more modern 'sporty' machines could manage. As I said, I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to better the 100 mph average Pond did, (decent driver permitted)
