It was either that or go on the dole!
Or in the forces!

I was lucky and managed to get an apprenticeship from my 6 month YTS. £21.50 a week...I thought I was loaded

You bloody were !

Some of us started on £7.50 pw, mind you £7.50 was worth something then. Managed to run a bike, then a car AND have some good nights out, and go home still with £1.20 change. Mind you £1.20 was worth something then.. (sorry old Marty Feldman sketch) biglaugh

I can believe that. Conversely I still see school friends doing the same thing they were doing 17 years ago with no desire to do anything else- the World stops at the Devon border... It's quite pathetic.

One of the reasons I left Grimsby. Up to 15 years after (and probably more) I could still go to certain pubs on a Fri or Sat and see the same people that were drinking there when I was 18. Half of them still kidding themselves and going to Ibiza for their holidays, and still have sausages on Wednesdays

As I said earlier he has changed and become a little attention we because certain members on here pander to his stupid fantasist questions - Like they're protecting him and given him virtual shelter under their wings with a little pat on the head. I get the impression that you may have some serious issues in life.

Nip it in the bud before it gets out of control.
Yep, you really have got real life issues.

Until you stuck your oar in with stupid and personal comments this post was far more interesting than most of yours which is probably why you have issues with Liam. I hope you're happy that Liam had been banned from this thread because if you read back it was you in your high and mightily fantasy internet tower of godliness that started it on it's slipper slope down hill.

It was an attempt at humour.

He said "grammar police" and I said no it was HATO, referring to the original topic of people confusing HATO with TrafPol and visa versa.

Sadly the rules are that if I need to explain a joke then the joke has been missed forever.
