Even if it is £15 per month...get a rip ffs!
it's less than a round of drinks
I don't drink.it's less than a round of drinks
Whichever way you cut it, viewing figures will absolutely and categorically drop off in the UK, which is odd behaviour considering Dorna have stated they want to increase the awareness of their products over here. Less awareness in the UK will lead to less interest. Less interest will lead to less support. Less support will eventually lead to SPA, SPA, SPA, SPA, SPA, SPA, SPA, SPA, SPA, SPA, SPA, SPA, ITA, SPA in the results.
You seem to be in favour of and advocating exclusivity and I'm not sure why. If you think it's a good thing for the fans, you're misguided. If you think it's a good thing for British talent, you're deluded. If you think it's a good thing for the sport, you're quite possibly insane.

I just don't see what the big deal is
Yes, we're aware of that.Personally I don't think losing those fans will be good for the sport.

Saying that I remember the days I only read about the races in MCweekly and we didn't see many of the races until the year review came out...didn't stop me loving it.
on that note I'm off to bed.
oh and for the chap with the Veyron that cried "Flounce"....sorry, you failed to get a rise out of me.

Looks like I'll get it for free being a broadband customer, says it'll be HD free for a year, can't find the cost after that though.
BT Sport website says the HD upgrade is £3 a month, which is waived for a year if you sign up before August, so after the first year either pay £3 a month for an HD feed or nothing for an SD feed.I'm mightily disappointed, they'll probably do a SkyF1 and put a load of flash and fluff over anything and take all the heart out of the coverage. Never liked the Eurosport coverage.
I pay for SkyF1, for now, if the price keeps going up I'll have to find some other way, I still mostly watch the BBC coverage anyway. Not doing the same for MotoGP.
I await the inevitable crash in viewing figures.
Thank fk ITV still show plenty of motorsport, I'll keep myself pointed their way.

As I see it, I already pay a TV licence at...what £140 a year. Yeah, yeah some of us moan about that but personally I'm relatively resigned to the fact that we have to pay it. besides i quite like Radio 2 nowadays
On top of that I pay Sky over £20 a month in order to be able to watch Eurosport (similar to Macdeb I guess). Oh, I've looked hard enough and no...Europsort isn't gettable (at least AFAIK in the UK) on Freeview or Freesat. If it were I'd have told Murdoch to sling his hook long ago. I can't use the people's champion, Branson's cable company as he doesn't (I imagine understandably) deem it worth the investment of running 20 miles of strands out to my vicinity.
So what does that leave me with...BT Vision. But my ISP isn't BT, consequently as I understand I would then have to pay £15 to be able to watch MotoGp via Sky...making my monthly TV package over £35 a month just to watch it for 9 months of the year And I rapidly lose interest in all the chatter & inter-race bullst after about round two. That's a bad deal as far as I'm concerned.
Yes, I could switch to BT as an ISP to 'save' myself the £15...but I don't particularly want to do that as they're more expensive (just) than the current rogues I have the misfortune of having to be with in order to look at donkey porn instead of embarrassing myself at the newsagents once a week!
I believe that BT Vision isn't quite as good as it could be either. The BT guy said a few months ago when he came round to sort of the broken BT cable down the road that the problem is that for some areas they aren't using nice new shiny wires like Virgin do. Some of their infrastructure is still using copper & aluminium cables form the 1980's era which aren't exactly renowned for being high speed TV.
So if all of this is actually right I feel a little fked over to be frank if I want to watch MotoGp in 2014. I don't really, not that much!
Still, perhaps Sky will add BT Vision MotoGp on as another 'package' to what I already have and be able to charge me more. I might go for that...we'll see what happens.

The internet, I tell the, will save the human race from; greed, glutony, bigotry, scum, stupidity, racism, hate etc. etc... or succinctly paraphrased as "itself".
So what you do is simple. Sign up for BT Infinity at £5 per month. Watch motogp for free over their own internet. Lick fingers, suck bean, love the nerd, enjoy life, understand freedom.

I know.
There are still Three unannounced presenter slots.
Whoever they are they can`t be worse than those two numpties we have at the moment on the Beeb. There are still Three unannounced presenter slots.
Do they still tell us how Pedrosa is so fast because he is so little. 10 times. Every fking race!!!
Haven't watched a race on the BBC for 3yrs or more. Quite happy to not see it live on Eurosport. Haven't read the whole thread or posted links but I do hope Eurosport continue with the same arrangement as now. On the other hand I do have Sky and am a BT broadband customer so sounds like I am entitled to the BT coverage anyway? Which isn't bad!
I find both sets of presenters equally annoying, they both regurgitate the same phrases week in week out, they both miss things but both have their good points.
I haven't looked into the Virgin aspect but it'll be expensive for VM customers no doubt as with Sky F1 so I won't be paying and I really do think it's bad for the sport.
Also, Claire Balding - wtf?

When ESPN gets re-branded as BT sport Virgin Meedja customers with the XL package may still get it (hopefully) included. Whether this will include Moto GP is anyones guess.I haven't looked into the Virgin aspect but it'll be expensive for VM customers no doubt as with Sky F1 so I won't be paying and I really do think it's bad for the sport.

If it's not they can ram it, I don't find it exciting enough to splash out anymore for.

Clearly you've never seen the Eurosport coverage then!
"the two best sport presenters in the business (Toby and Jules + Mr Spalding)"
Dont care where it is - just make these guys part of the package...
I tuned into Eurosport the other day and don't think that was Toby's voice I heard..."the two best sport presenters in the business (Toby and Jules + Mr Spalding)"

I agree with you but on balance I prefer listening to Stavros than to ex Toby and that other bloke. Cox adds nothing at all, other than a BRDC cap and a dodgy mullet.Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
