As my hall way is full of R1, my RG500 has moved into the upstairs lounge for the winter and some gentle cosmetic detailing in the warm!!
It took two of us to get it up there; and would no doubt have made an amusing video!!
Apologies for the crappy mobile pic..

Defiantly worth a video if you rode it up the stairs with your mate on the back. Nice bike, I hope it doesn't spend all year inside though.

Found some old prints of my RGV recently, and my fave old shot of the YZ250 from years back, which I haven't posted for a while tongue out

Hey Barry, is that the lane near Helsby Hill, looking up towards the Mersey View? If so I used to go mountain biking around there all the time.
I *think* its a road just off the A55 in NWales actually, probably near Bangor... this was taken 20+ years ago but I know it was during our first biking holiday to Wales (all three of us crammed into a mates' dads' old Sprite caravan in Bethesda - it wasn't a pretty sight - but we had a blast charging all over the region for a week).

Ha ha, there is no way you could get anyone on the back with a race bike seat as fragile as a MK1 RG's!! 8,000 rpm pull away would have been 'interesting' too...
No we carried it up some outside concrete stairs, including me lifting the back end above shoulder height to get it round a bend and over a low wall!!
It will get used at parades, and probably first run up will be at one of the MFN Wednesday bike meets; it's just in the living room for the winter!!

That belongs on the grid at the classic TT!

I'm glad it gets to see the light of day sometimes. It always seem a pity when these sort of bikes are locked in sheds and barns and never used.

Why thank you!
It will be much nicer after I've gone through it over the next couple of months! Lot's of cosmetic and mechanical detail improvements planned. Classic TT, mm yea, would cost too much to run it competitively, but be nice to parade it. I restored three very nice classic racers for the TT in the 1990's when you could have a good ride without following the TM's; it's too restricted now unless you're Ago or Read!!

I've raced a few but only off road

Not had many smoker road bikes tbh but I got this 2 years back and went about fully restoring it with all genuine parts.

This is the finished bike that now sits nicely on a bench in my garage to look at :-)

It means alot because its what I raced in the 90's a Honda CR125 1997 last of the steel frames and 6 speed 'box

What a fantastic thread this is..

These may appeal to some, from last weekends Newark Classic show...I really fancy the TS50X myself!

This is a chap called Dave from the 2T forums ZXR400 framed turbo!

It has an RD400 bottom end with modified 350LC barrels giving it approx 400cc..its running a single turbo on it at the moment, he hopes to get it twin turbo'd by the Spring!

It aint pretty but it works..

My mate has a TS125 in his shed that he keeps talking about restoring. I think I might have to start to nag him to pull his finger out.
