Shame, would like to have seen Josh on a decent bike in WSB.
Wonder why the Troy Corser ride didn't come off?
He's probably looking at the bigger picture I would've thought. If the new R1 is as dominant as when the last one came out in '09 then he's in with a serious shot at the title, and coupling that with a good showing at the Suzuka 8H could hold him in good shape for Yamaha's predicted WSB return in 2016.Wonder why the Troy Corser ride didn't come off?

Oh,thought he was off to wsb.
Maybe the pays better in bsb?No news re bridewell yet, would be a bummer if he gets the chop after the cracking job he's done this year.
Rumour puts Broc Parkes on either one of the PBM teams or the second seat at SMR, I wouldnt be surprised to see TB on a Honda next year alongside JOH...

Troy Corser back in WSB as a team manager, with Josh Brookes and Leon Camier? Cool...

When your given inferior tools, youride the ollox off it and hope for the best...
Josh has made a couple of errors, but give him the right tools and he is the equal of kiyo & byrne.
One things for sure , the series is far stronger with him.Josh has made a couple of errors, but give him the right tools and he is the equal of kiyo & byrne.
Just need bridewell to sort his seat out now.

Ellison ran well on it, won races, likewise Hill in previous seasons. And Bridewell got results jumping straight on it at the end of last season. I think Brookes is just prone to wobbling under pressure. Josh has made a couple of errors, but give him the right tools and he is the equal of kiyo & byrne.
James was beset by multiple technicla failures, but as you say rode the wheels of it, and crashed as much as brookes.
Ironically, Bridewell has crashed more than Brookes this season..

Is it possible that 'completely different bike' is a teeny bit of gross exaggeration?
Not really, no. The frame is different, as frame geometry has to now stay as it comes from the factory.
Engines are COMPLETELY different
Electronics miles apart, the motec control ecu in bsb is not capable (or allowed) to run as many channels as the pukka factory spec 100k per bike Magnetti Marelli kit.
I could go on, but i think you will get the point.
It went from a smooth, 230bhp dreamboat that could compete to a 205 overweight chubster overnight.
Rumour has it the new R1 has the same frame geometry as the Sterligarda/Milwaukee factory R1's straight out the box, and is fairly lighter too.
