Toy Run - Reading!
Discussion
Calling all PH Bikers!
Would anyone be interested in meeting up for the Toy Run in Reading on the 5th December?
For those who don't know about the event, the whole idea is to help donate toys to orphans for Christmas. Every biker must take at least one toy (new), and we all meet up at the Foster Wheeler building (Old Shire Hall), just outside Earley. We then all ride down to the Barnardos school in Wokingham and hand the toys out to the organisers.
Last year over 2000 bikes took part and its amazing riding down the main road with all the road to ourselves beeping horns and making loads of noise!
I'll be there with a couple of my mates but if anyone else wants to join in the run let me know. If you want to do it by yourself, that's no problem. The event is free and all you have to do if buy a toy for a child this Christmas. (Couldn't be a better reason for a ride out!).
Hope to see loads of PHers there!

It's an organised event. I'm just tagging along with the rest of the crowds. I believe it's organised by the Christian bikers association......
Are beards and sandals still compulsory?
I'm no Christian biker myself but a bit of happy clappy dancing won't go amiss.
erm......you'll probably have to find out. Here's the URL with more details!

UPDATE FOR THE TOY RUN!
For those who would like to meet up with me for the Toy Run this Sunday (5th December), please be at:
Wentworth Avenue, Whitley Wood, Reading.
I know it's a dodgy place but my friend lives there and it's easier to get to the main meet point from her place.
No need to give a number either as you'll see all the bikes on the road just after you come in.
Please be there for 11:45 - 12pm. We will be leaving at 12:05 sharp as we don't want to be late and miss the run! (D'oh!)
If any of you need to get hold of me prior to the event, call me on 07740 350949. If I don't answer, just leave a message and i'll call you back in the evening.
Remember to buy that new toy as well and wearing a santa hat would be great. (You can dress your bike up too if you want!)
Hope to see lots of you on Sunday!
