So, having woken up stupidly early, I'm sitting on the platform waiting for the train to take me to London. Then have a cross-London commute followed by a train heading South.

First class only kicks in out of Victoria frown

On the train with the proletariat coughing and spluttering all around me. Little kids excited about going on a 'tain'.

I may not survive this journey...

At least it's a beautiful day outside.

2010 R1200GS adventure.

Ever since having one in SA for a couple of weeks, I've wanted one. So hopefully by lunch time, I'll have one!,

Cool, no need for chaps, you can get the arseless motorrad kit to match your new bike, big ally panniers as well :-)

Enjoy the ride home :-) and if you need a bite to eat before heading home, head to the cafe in rodean next to the pitch n putt course on the road out of brighton to eastbourne, it overlooks the marina

I've not quite got the GS suit bought yet, however I may feel the need to pick one up later this weekend. It's amazing what 4 days off work does!

The bike of course comes with the ally panniers. I understand that it's against the law to ride an adventure without the ally panniers, top box and tank bag fitted...just in case you have to divert through the Sahara on the way back from the shops having picked up the milk...although wasn't there that thread about the chap who went for milk on his bike and was away for a few days?!

That cafe you speak of is less than a mile from where my new steed is coming from so depending on when we get done, I may well head there for a drink or a bite. thumbup

It certainly isn't for everyone, however having spent a few weeks on one in SA last year, it was only a matter of time. So competent in all environments.

Fun to ride also smile
