Serious advice needed: Super Blackbird as first bike???
Discussion
If you can be sure you'll be sensible , do it. Don't bother with a restrictor kit just use self restraint.
I passed my DAS in Feb 2006 and by March I had a Blackbird. I know my own limits and rode accordingly . I put 20,000 miles on it without a single scratch on me or the bike.
I sold the Blackbird and bought a Hayabusa but I didn't keep that for too long , I just didn't get on with it.
I bought and sold a couple of other bikes over the coming years and had a year or so without a bike
Last year I bought another Blackbird , it was great to be back on one , I don't think I'll ever sell this one they are just brilliant at what they do

Chaps,
Once again I'm overwhelmed by the positive responses, so thanks very much for the input.
I guess the next stage will be to post some pics up once I get the bird. Not sure when that will be atm but will hopefully be sooner rather than later. All my questions and concerns have been addressed and I am feeling a lot more at ease about getting her.
I'll keep you all updated with developments as hopefully some of you will want to know how I get on.
Thanks again
Martin
