Moto gp Silverstone -- spoilers--

Its a shame Ducati cant get this sort of form on normal tyres with normal fuel allowance like all the other proper IRTA teams, Still, it does give us a quality swepstake every raceday guessing on what lap the poocatis will fly backwards.
Redding will be with MVDS on that sattelite bike, LCR have already said they would want to run miller on it if they got it and Aspar cant run redding on it because hayden would walk out taking the drive m7 money with him, stumping up the money for the RCV is pocket change to mr VDS and they already have the infrastructure.

Given that all the talk is of Gresini running the Aprilias next year are there any new rumours on who will be buying up PBR's grid slots?

Looks like Ducati will have a good bike for next year - Used the rules to their advantage to develop a good bike.
Redding deserves a full factory bike - He can fight with Marquez.
Problem is (As Cal keeps on pointing out) Redding deserves a full factory bike - He can fight with Marquez.
they are developing a bike around the soft tyre, and using the 4l of extra fuel to make up time on the straights, iannone & Dovi have been the quickest through the traps during a race pretty much every round, When they cant use the soft tyre anymore and the extra fuel goes, they are well and tryuly fecked.
I think that is a very good point - ducati are making up for a weak chassis with soft tyres and more power. Hopefully they re learning a lot about chassis design, and i dont think the harder tyres will hamper them (because they will be able to go the distance....as i understand they tend to use the hardest tyre availiable to them for the races) but the lesser fuel will. They need to develop an engine which will be able to still be usable in lean-running conditions.
Which brings me to another point....direct injection. Why not let manufacturers develop direct injection? I understand the costs may escalate, but it would be a technology that would transfer well to road bikes. I cant see pneumatic valves appearing any time soon....

Direct injection might confer fuel consumption or emissions advantages, but does anyone running a superbike really care about fuel consumption? Ban pneumatic valves, say I: let the Japanese go desmodromic, develop better valve springs, or re-invent the sleeve valve engine. Yazza54 said:
Ffs redding can't come off that slow bike quick enough.
Awesome again but he can't do any better with what he has
Abso-chuffing-lutely. Me and MrsKipling were at qually yesterday and the crowd went nuts when he came in the pits at the end. Awesome again but he can't do any better with what he has
Also, you only really get an idea of how far ahead of everyone else the Honda gearbox and electronics are when you're at the circuit. We were opposite the apex of Copse and while the others' traction control go 'WaaahpappappawaaahpappappappapwaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAHHHHH' the Honda does no aggressive popping, just this wavering V4 wail as it seamlessly finds the grip. And the seamless shift is just nuts.
Me and Bizzle are up today in the Village grandstand.

anyone know why MOTOGP don't use the new pits complex??
Lack of space for Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP. Basically, the new pits aren't big enough whereas the old set up is. I should add the this is based entirely on what was said on TV yesterday rather than any actual knowledge on my part, so could be complete bks.
