One of my biking buddies, who works in a BMW dealership tells me that Michael Dunlop is out, and Guy is in. Seems BMW weren't happy wth Michael as he's not a PR person.
Anybody hear anything.
Would genuinely be surprised if that is the case... and if he is he WILL be in contention for winning a TT on that bike.Anybody hear anything.
I can't see it happening.
BMW won last year with Dunlop. Unless MD has asked for blinkers money, I cannot see them wanting to change. He will win again for them this year, and if he goes elsewhere, he may well beat them.
But having said all that, MD does have history of moving about a bit.

If it's true, he could well win the TT next year...
I am however sceptical - yes MD isn't really a PR man, but lets face it, bar Guys TV work and other recent media stuff, he also isn't really a PR man. Teams in the past (Tyco im sure?) have had problems with Guy, as he doesn't like the PR work, and if he doesn't want to join in, he simply doesn't from what I understand.
We'll see...

I would be genuinely surprised as Dunlop has had some good results on the BMW, most recently at Frohburg (although I will admit, I don't know how important that audience is to BM?)
PR is one thing but results are another. Is Guy really a good PR guy bearing in mind he seems to detest doing all the press work around the TT and would rather skulk off back to his Transit / house he rents.

dunlop and guy martin, god that's going to take some man management.
Like herding cats!! Be interesting to hear the team de-brief too.Guy will have no excuses if he doesn't get the results (unless it's a clean sweep 1-2 for BMW).
Will be also interesting to see where Guy turns for his 600 ride, potential for a GM team as per MD.

I heard rumours of Dunlop to PBM. Not sure how true that is with them now signing Hutchy though.
Hope Guy does well on the BMW.
Wouldnt be surprised to see easton alongside Hutch on the roads for PBM next year. Hope Guy does well on the BMW.
Of course PBM could use its new BMW connections and run Guy & MD On the Beemers and Hutch/easton on the kwaks...
