How did viewing the burgman go?
Honestly carbs aren't a problem. I've started a couple of bikes at below zero, full choke and first touch of the button has seen them fine.
Plus adjusting the choke is satisfying, just pressing a button on an injection bike is boring.
Also have you tried thebikeinsurer.co.uk for quotes?

Test rode it. What a revelation! So smooth and effortless. Think i even got it to 0.09 leptons and it felt like it could give more! Wind protection was great and the 0-60 with CVT although not "fast" is so predictable and repeatably quick.Honestly carbs aren't a problem. Very impressed. Going back with my dad next saturday for a through examination of the mechanics. Got alot of number crunching to do in the mean time.
Yes, i tried bike insurer. Quotes were almost identical. Im happy with £350 per year fully comp for the scoot.

It's even more fun with a kick start, a few goes on the lever with full kit will have you nicely warmed through before you warm the bike through.Plus adjusting the choke is satisfying, just pressing a button on an injection bike is boring.

Told you. People who haven't ridden a maxi scooter them write them off, but they are decent, really ridable machines. Completely different to "scooters."Very impressed.
You can even get 650cc and 800cc ones now.

Rode a couple of those, the semi auto cvt is brillant and allows you to play with the gears or go automatic. Cruise control, heated seats, radio etc mean it is super comfy and a mile muncher alongside the pan European easily (although not as fast top speed). http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2014...

I did worry about the ability of DIY servicing on it though so left it alone. That and the MPG on them is in the 40's which kind of defeats the object of a cheap commuter for me.
If you want a cheap and fast maxi scoot with some toys and better handling than my Majesty, have a look at the X9 500, they are cheap and fast. Loads around so spares are easy. Electric side stand goes wrong but you don't need it if you can get a burgman up by yourself. Thing with all of these types of maxi scooters (X9's especially) is steering head bearings take a beating due to lack of triple trees head stocks.
Funny you ask, I did it today actually. First time on a majesty but probably the 5th one I have done now. They are all roughly the same procedure whether 50cc or 400cc.
Dead easy, loads of videos on youtube, just google change cvt belt. If you get a Burgman there is a american guy call MicBergsma on youtube and he has a how to on nearly everything on a burgman.
Hardest thing is getting bolts and screws out without snapping them.
Save £300 today changing the belt and changing the oil and transmission gear oil as well.
