MCN Scottish Motorcycle Show
Discussion
Been twice. It's basically awful. Parking is expensive too so bring your motorcycle, don't worry about not being able to load up your bike there's fk all worth buying anyway.
Check the exhibitors list before you decide to go would be my advice. Last year there was arts and crafts, highland toffees, and masonary drill bits in a desperate attempt to fill up space. Oh and you can go look at some rotten old bikes if that's your thing.
Moanthebairns normally offers a funnier summary this time of year.

It used to be a really good show........the last time it was any good was when the Starboyz (remember them?!!!) were over from the States, so Im guessing more than 10 yr ago!! Been maybe twice since then in the hope that it would improve but it hasnt!! I'd rather spend a day on the pan with the sts!!
There'll be a 'wheelie machine' outside in the pissing rain, a stall selling toffee/sweets and a stall selling Akito's finest faux leather

6 quid to park the car in a field.
12 or 16 quid on the day to walk around a tiny hall with a few bikes.
As you move to the wings it really does get grim as fk, everything is tat or sweeties.
There is the usual crap leathers for 40 quid and one or two stands with full price decent gear.
The classic section is good if you like that but the riders group owners bikes are all shag heaps. Crack fairings. Normally nothing special and covered to fk in age related marks.
YOu Then move onto the car boot sale at the back full of utter tat that will break the second you take it out the box.
After two hours wondering wtf the fuss is about you get the mile walk to the car where you see all the manky awb's
Oh and I never knew falkirk had a bike club and I'm mr falkirk.

You're not mistaking it for the Carole Nash Scottish Bike Show, that was truly dire? Sod-all in the main hall, a few bike clubs (who admittedly had mostly put in some effort) and then total junk on a few tables in another hall. Dreadful.
I thought the MCN show was OK though...as shows go. A decent representation from most of the manufacturers and some decent stuff. Bought a new Shoei helmet and some kevlar jeans. I'll probably go again this year, but only on the bike...it was wet last time and I took the car and the car park charge smarted a little.

The club goes to the show to promote it's Easter egg run supporting the local children's hospice,(Last year almost 600 bikes and £8000 raised) Falkirk Wheel to Kinross where the hospice is. Look us up on faceplant if you're on it.William, you're right about the Classic Bike Show, it was definitely sub standard. If you go, pop by and say hi.
