Cadwell isn't easy to overtake when there's not much speed difference as it's so narrow. I just use the end of the start / finish straight, into Park Corner and down the hill, other than that it was a lunge and looked like one of us ending up on the grass.
There's loads of places to overtake at Cadwell! My favourite is either into the hairpin, or if you're a lot faster than someone, round the outside at the left at the bottom of the mountain which then gives you right of way for the right up the hill.
Also Park, the chicane, Mansfield, round the outside up coppice to block pass for Charlie's 1, and can be a bit risky, up the inside at the first of hall bends. So pretty much most of the track!

Overtaking someone quite a bit slower is easy on any track.

Anyway, GWM and MTB will be happy, the bike has been sold to my brother and I may or may not buy another one, it won't be within the next year though.
I have enjoyed it this year, maybe not as much as i thought I would but that I think is due to sharing a bike with someone, this really does weigh on your mind and the bike has never truly felt like my own so you can imagine that chucking it down the road really did not help this!
No way mate! I have other things I need to do and sort out before I start thinking about another bike. Like I said, i think the shared ownership has been ok because it got me my first taste of trackdays but has not been an ideal situation, you do feel particularly bad after stuffing someone elses bike!
As the great philosopher once said "i'll be back!"
Glad you had a great day at Cadwell, your tyres look much better in the pictures now after sorting that suspension, I can imagine the bike feels a whole load better after getting all that done!

Read it again mate. I said "when there's not much speed difference". If you want to stuff it up the inside at the hairpin, or Barn, or Hall Bends then fair enough, but I'd expect a hospital trip if you did as there's going to be a crash and that trip might not be as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
Overtaking someone quite a bit slower is easy on any track.
Fair enough at a very similar speed it can be more difficult, but the Hairpin is still the best place to pass in my opinion. And I've never seen it lead to a crash. Overtaking someone quite a bit slower is easy on any track.

I might pop along to watch as I've got a mate who's going round on Street Triple. He won his place in a raffle and tried to get me to join him but the 10 min sessions once an hour for £130 for the day seemed naughty money.
What are you riding?
It's not too bad actually, but yeah it's a little steep I guess. The car days are £170 and you generally get five fifteen minute sessions so it's not too much different. Occasionally they go to open pit format if the turnout is pretty quiet. What are you riding?
I'll be riding a Yellow and black BMW K1200R, and will be meeting a friend on his white GSXR 750.
If you make it, pop over and say hi. Always good to meet a fellow PH'er
Think I saw you head out on track (yellow K1200R, red black & white leathers). Saw it later alongside a K4/5 white GSXR under a marque thing but no-one about.
Hope you enjoyed the day? I personally would seriously question the value for money of a day at Castle Combe. As for collecting a crashed bike by lying it on its side on a bike trailer - wtf?
