What a truly glorious way to spend what would have been a lazy Sunday.
It rained every session, and come the last few sessions the cold got the better of me and my shoulder locked up. That was pretty much then end of me. There was a few times when the water was streaming across the track but my god wet tyres are amazing. So much fun. Honestly, it was freezing cold (and I mean freezing, at one point I contemplated crashing just to get in a warm ambulance), your hands stung coming in, I was soaked right through all day and spent most of it shivering licking the snot from my huge nose but it was great.
I'm fked but it was the most fun I've had at knockhill. Its awesome in the wet.
Oh and a big thumbs up to gwm who went out on road tyres. fk that, been there shat myself never again.
Oh and the chap in the novice, also on road tyres, and I don't want to be offensive but he was missing all his fingers on his left hand. I was impressed by his sheer balls and attitude, you didn't even notice he was missing them.
I'm really sorry if that sounds distasteful. I'm not the best with words. But I had the up most respect

On a ropey CBR600F too and was over taking most. And his first track day!
Like MTB says, cold and wet. I got a couple of dry spells but it was so variable my biggest hindrance was confidence to get on the brakes later and carry more speed through the corners. The Rosso 2s were better once I'd dropped a bit more air out of them, but felt very wooden until I'd done quite a few laps (for me to get enough heat into them)
So if anyone knows /sees a track bike with wets for 3-4k let me know (helps if it's pretty too!)

There'll loads at that price. You can have my 2004 R6 with some fancy Ohlins, wets on wheels and a load of spares for £2750. Like MTB says, cold and wet. Ok can't PM you but if you're serious then I'm interested in more details/pics.
Loonr1@gmail.comI've not got the bike here, as its in getting a full suspension refresh at the moment. Not sure what pics you want. It's mainly black, with some white for race numbers. At the front. The fairing as MD paint job are tatty, mas its a trackbike. The engine is very strong and the suspension is getting a full refresh and the rest of the bike a good going over.

Oh great, I'll drop him a message. Shame about your brother, I just bought this place off someone else who can't make it because he's ill, I should have asked here first.
Can you not be tempted into taking your brother's place?
I did umm and aah about it but really couldn't be bothered with the drive over sadly. Sorry! Can you not be tempted into taking your brother's place?
Shame as it would have been good to catch up.
Enjoy the day.
