Well my bike is sidelined, so my mate said we could share his. All was well until the I tucked the (very fked) front. Ooooops.
Simons Fireblade? We were sharing his bike as mine was fked. As one was out in inters and one was in fast, we only had 20 minutes to do bike stuff. Had just fitted a new rear tyre, and I'd looked at the front and hoped it would last until the end of the day. As I was riding round I was thinking to myself "this tyre is pretty fked, we'll need to change it sooner than the end of the day" and then the next lap I was on my Arse. My 6 months old Leathers are pretty fked, thankfully helmet is untouched. Bike is just cosmetic, so I'll owe him a respray plus a few little bits and bobs and some crash protection. Plus his go pro (that we had forgotten to switch on, grrrrrr) is smashed up.
I fking hate bikes
Crikey Neil , nightmare - ps I reckon Graeme might as well let you out on his now ?
Day three's now over in Cartagena
Such a good track, but takes a lot of learning but I'm finally starting to get to grips with it
Probably not as fast as Mckeen, who's flying, but I got my timer on for a session today on knackered tyres and went 1:48
For reference, Mason Law is here testing with his team, and I timed him at 1:39 earlier !?!
New SC1 slicks fitted now, so super pole timing tomorrow for the last day

Mckeean is absolutely rapid. Looks even faster now he's in inters. I managed to get a 1:54 in fast on my old SRAD with SC1 slicks which I was happy with. Will stop by and say hi to you tomorrow graeme. Didn't see you in the garage today mate.

How the fk are you three not meeting up during the day and for beers after instead of chatting on here.
I'm too slow to hang around with the big guys, I spend the evenings drinking alone in seedy bars to drown my sorrows. On a more serious note, I'm 27 today. Not the worst birthday I've had!

He seems a nice lad
Back home now from a really cracking few days in Cartagena.
First European track trip for me, and I was a bit nervous that the track was really technical with lots of stop start style corners and not much flow, but it was actually very good. It's not the quickest of tracks, but it flows pretty well, and some of the corners are nice and fast.
It's been a long year of track days for me having only started riding motorbikes at the end of last Oct, so I've crammed them in over the summer to play catch up of ability with my mates. However, I reckon I learnt more about riding over the last 4 days, than I have over the last 3 months.
I went through some tyres though and killed two rear and one front V02 Slicks in the first three days, and then fitted some new SC1 slicks for the last day yesterday, which by the end of the last session were down past the wear indicators and really starting to move around more than I was comfortable with. I'd heard it was a hard track on tyres, and it wasn't wrong.
The BSB guys had said that they were doing several sets a day, and generally a rear would last 2 sessions !?!
The Euro track days appear to run in a much more relaxed format than the UK ones, and I didn't see a single red flag over 4 days in our Fast group, and yellow flags were fairly few and far between (myself causing one having binned it day one)
I think Euro days are the way forward now, but not sure if either my wife or wallet would agree
