The problem I have with a bigger van is keeping it on my drive, and as I use my T6 panel van quite a lot for work, I need something that's normal sized.
It's flipping cold to sleep in though.
I can get a cheapo caravan and when I'm not using it, I have somewhere not far from my house that will let me dump it there.
Ideally, I'd have a massive winnebago. I might be able to make crystal Meth in it too, to cover the costs of racing (that's a breaking bad joke incase no one understands it)

Well had a very cold wet day at Snett Sunday. First session was dry then it was rain rain sleet and more rain with temperatures between 4-5 degrees
I had a few mates booked to go for a while but I was meant to be taking my boy racing until it was called off because of the weather
Knowing the forecast and not being able to get any of the other lot out for a road ride I randomly booked it late last Saturday night
My Aprilia is on the left and my old track bike which I sold to a mate is #41
Had my AR can fitted but baffle in and it blew 100db! Thats a pass so I went on track and first session was dry so straight away got some good pace even though its my road bike and I was running M7RR's with everything in road settings
Not been on track since Spain in November and I was running V02 slicks so these tyres moved about ALOT to say the least. Ran 32f 27r hot and not really trying I averaged 2.08's first session which shows how good road tyres are these days and how capable these super nakeds are. I honestly think I could shave 4 seconds off with warmer weather, dedicated tyres & setup suspension
Anyways last lap it started spitting...and then the heavens opened!! Sleet all day and temperatures of 4 degrees made the garage time inbetween sessions FREEZING! Latex gloves out to keep the fingers warm and my condom rain jacket to keep some rain off the leathers
Went out next session with half the people already packed up and gone only to be black flagged 3 laps in
They said it was blowing 95db drive by. I had it retested baffle in again, went out next session and blew 97db so they said standard can or no more riding. Standard can fitted and 94db static with no drive by issues. I dont believe in making lots of noise and completely understood what they were saying but as said its my road bike and I honestly had no idea what to expect
Red flags were a plenty - literally every session. Even my mate on his new track bike (the red gsxr) binned it and smashed his collar bone. I just treated the day as a fun road ride out with nothing to prove. There was mud running onto the track in places and a running river in 3 areas with brown mud/water going through
My mate made me laugh, he out excelled himself braking into a corner in fast group but made the corner perfectly here. The guy in the garage opposite by pure luck got it on camera. Blink and you'd miss it but I screen shot it
I had aqua planning like Ive never felt down the back straights but went with the 'if in doubt throttle out' and kept it dead straight hitting an indicated 152mph on the straight. Braking from that with M7RR's was, well, an experience
The poor bike averaged 18.4mpg and I done a tank of fuel in 64 miles. We then loaded up and went home all with a smile on our faces, and all laughed watching our mate fit his ZX10R in a Bellingo!
I think I set a new lap record for the slowest time ever averaging 2.48's when the weather went as it did...its very very boring to watch. First 8 minutes behind Matt, after I decided to pass and go at my pace

you must have balls the size of melons to go out in that weather on that bike....respect!
Anyways whats this 22nd track day all about? Im interested! Who's it with? My gsxr should be done either end of this week or early next week. Im booked for Snett on the 23rd open pit lane
Not sure whether to take the aprilia to Snett again this sunday as I got a few guys I know going or just have a road ride...as Graeme knows the costs quickly go up!!

Haha I did think that a bit after - Im not kidding I was one of only about 10 riders that stayed and didnt crash. I feel for my mate a bit - literally first time out and crashed it.

I'm doing March 22nd as Bob @ Bolton Motorcycles booked a load of places... then found out a few from here are doing the same date and some have jumped on-board. Weather debating it should be a good day. I know Bob is reserving a garage, so if someone from PH does the same we should be covered. Anyways whats this 22nd track day all about? Im interested! Just got the call Ive been waiting for! GSXR is ready from dyno work and Im collecting tomorrow!!
134bhp at the wheel and 56ft lb torque from a 8000 mile K6/7 GSXR750.BMC filter, Bazzaz TC FI setup, straight, servo valve removed with eliminator & a cheapy lextek '17 range pipe as they dont cost the world when you crash. My K1 on the same dyno made 121bhp at the rear and that pulled bloody well for what it was so the extra 1000rpm and ponies Im sure will feel nice in the lighter bike.
Next to do is get my boingy man to get the ktech internals front and rear fitted, fix the small list of snags and thats it Im ready...finally!
