Yep! Me and a few others. come and say hello, my bike, albeit in a more finished state! lol:

OooOOo looks nice! What group are you in? I've booked Inters along with two friends. I'll be on a ropey and clearly crashed 06 anniversary colours R1.

Not sure how it works with UK organisers for pitboxes etc. Also since I've booked it I keep reading bad things about FE but hopefully it's not too bad. I saw someone above saying they like the them so seems mixed. Saw something that they have strict overtaking rules or something? What are they? Not that I really overtake anyone anyways! biggrin Too slow for that.

Although on the brighter note while I speak Spanish I've never really understood the briefings as they always use crappy microphones so it's blurred. This will be the first time I actually get to understand a briefing biggrin

I like FE, closely organised which sometimes means disgruntled muppets. As much as Kevin grates on me and others, the tight ship he runs means you have a good trip. But it sometimes means you have to be extra conscious of the 'rules'. Personally I don't mind that.

Briefings are clear, a little long and a platform for some that like to hear their own voices but concise.
I'm in inters, im comfortable there. Jerez is a great place to hone technique as it has little undulation or surprises. You get to really concentrate on bike craft.

I'll look out for you!

Ah that doesn't sound too bad at all. What are the rules? I'm guessing just usual stuff? Spanish tdo's are super lax so hope I don't fall foul of anything.

Yeah I'll see you there. You can give me a wave as you overtake me biggrin I'm hoping I can get some instruction also as seen that they offer it and I could do with it.

Top day at Donington today, despite it being quite windy. i really do not get the big negative reaction to FE, was well run and no incidents all day. A big plus was they actually had the transponders there this time too!

Was also about as close as I could get to going sub 1:40 without going sub 1:40 grumpy

Anyone else on the FE day there next Thursday?
Good stuff, that's pretty close
I'm there next week too, with my new bike, so hoping to get bedded in on it and have a go at getting closer to 1:40 too
FE are an odd bunch, and assuming everything goes to plan, they run a decent day.
I was at Silverstone with them last week, and they had tow guys doing the registration - The first guy was really friendly and welcoming, but the 2nd guy was an angry little young fella that looked like he should have been a nightclub bouncer.
The problem with FE comes when something goes wrong, or you need something from them. Then, they become very unhelpful and almost quite aggressive.
Many of you guys with know JoJo Benz from youtube. They lost her bike for over 2months from a Euro Trip, and in the end, she had to phone around all the European tracks they go to to see if they'd left it there. In the end, she found it for them, and they offered no explanation or apology.
You only have to do a quick google search on complaints about them to see how much they'v upset people over time
The day ran at Silverstone largely without issue, although as it started off wet, then wouldn't let anyone out for the sighting laps unless you had either wets or road legal tyres on, but I didn't have an issue with that.
I guess their lack of popularity is my gain as the day only had about 25 per group, so loads of space on track

Seriously they lost jojo bike? I see her at IOM last year chatting to lots of dribbling young men and follow some of her stuff

I used focused FE last year for Spain. I'm had no problems but I have also heard some real horror stories

I'm also doing donni in July for my birthday. Hoping I can run similar times on my 750 as I've seen above

Cheers, if I'd have stuck new tyres on or it wasn't quite as windy going down turn 2 and 3 I reckon I'd have got it. My best sectors are a 1:39.6 as I got held up going into Coppice on my best lap (hence the lower top speed).

The nightclub bouncer was there on Thursday. Seemed alright but didn't really talk to him. Never had any issues on the day so never saw the other side of them. Only thing I don't like is the first session is just purely sighting laps. Better to run the remainder of the first session straight after them I think.

I'd take that JoJo thing with a pinch of salt. She's obviously going to exaggerate it and you're only hearing one side. I don't see how they could have just lost it? I reckon that's a pretty sensible rule not letting people out on slicks! People would only complain if there were a load of red flags as a result!

Did Croft, Donington and Cadwell on it last year. Where they are at their best

I heard the 2 months story directly from her, and from someone else, so I know it's reasonably accurate (probably), but I agree about only one side of the story.
Like I said above, I've never had issues with them directly, but I do know a few people that have and there's a lot of negativity around them. However, if no one else uses them, it's more track space for you and I smile

Has anyone done a Euro trackday with No Limits recently?

I'm off to Estoril and Portimao in a couple of weeks and I notice that on the manifest it says:

- SCREENS MUST BE REMOVED BEFORE LOADING THE BIKE

Is this something new?

Lovely. Picked one up this afternoon so it'll be making an appearance at Cadwell and Donington very soon.

Any recommendations for things to watch or improve?

They've got new, slightly lower stillages
They've actually had them for a while, and most bikes fit, but some of the taller 'TT style' screens stick out so get crushed by the stillage above which is why they've applied the rule.
If your screen's not an easy removal, just let the guys know at the drop off and they'll make sure your stillage goes on the top

Cheers Graeme. It's a new bike and I don't have the right size Allen key for it. If it's too high, I will ask for it to go on top.

In Euro track days UK organisers don't check noise right? Just thought about it as noticed their website says they do but I've never been checked before with Spanish ones in jerez and don't want to change my exhaust lol. Might not be too loud anyways but yeah... biggrin

No problem, I don't mind showing you round. I had my mate who races in superstock 1000 show me the lines and I was going wrong in loads of places, if you mess up one corner it messes the next 5 up!

Hopefully will be quiet on Thursday then but I doubt it with NG racing there on the weekend!

Just enjoy, my brakes were sh!te so tried a few things, ended up with an s1000rr master cylinder and 5.1 fluid, still not great but has more travel. They are extremely good on track and I loved embarrassing newer, larger capacity bikes on track, Lapped a 750 srad on my 600 around donington on a road bike only day.

Winner, hopefully the sun will shine too as the forecast is looking decent for this coming week (fingers crossed)
It should be a good day with the race weekend there, as at least racers are a little more predictable
Are you racing there at the weekend too ?
I have a membership for NGRRC, but I have to work Sunday and Saturday's quite busy, or I'd have got an entry in
I've got a mate racing there with them this year, and he's going really well, so fancied coming up to see if I could see him for about 2 corners before he disappeared off at 10seconds a lap better than I could do

Yeah am racing there this weekend. No idea why they didn't do a test day on the Friday, means I have to stay in the paddock for an extra day with nothing to do frown

Am expecting there to be a few wild cards who race in the BSB support classes in it

They always do that at Donington apparently, as they have long standing car track days on the Friday's
It's the same with NL the week after. I'm doing the track day on the Thursday (4 groups) and then driving home Thursday night before coming back up Friday night for the weekend. I live about 2 hours away, so it's a bit of a faff, but saves twiddling my thumbs all day Friday with nothing to do and at least coming back Friday means I can bring my 10year with me for the weekend as he's mad for racing.

Josh Day, who's back racing with NG this year, will most likely top the podium there as he's won every race he's started with NG this year I think. He does blimmin 1:31's around there too !

Hopefully they will let me stay in the paddock then for the Friday then. It's a stupid way to do it when they know there's race meetings on, surely they could have just swapped the Thursday/Friday around.

He is very fast but really shouldn't be racing at club level, I never get why an ex British champion would want to do that? Unless he likes being a big fish in a small pond? Obviously has the talent to be in stock 1000, surely that's the logical step to go to?
