Those are my paddock shorts. I wear them to distract and slow down the competition

Aragon last week.

No beer for 2 days before leaving!

Day 1

Got to hotel at 2.15am, up at 7am and away to track to unload bikes etc etc

out every session for the full 20 minutes, started to feel like I was getting on with the R1 for the first time.

Weather was just right, warm and sunny

I didn't have any beer that night

Day 2

It was cold and over cast in the morning so I missed the first 2 sessions, I think the cold got into me because I only managed roughly 10 minutes a time before my creaky old bones cried enough.

I ended up with the sts quite badly so had a couple of Imodium which made my mouth and arse dry. (talking ste as usual)

I didn't have any beer that night.

Day 3

It was cold and overcast so I sat in my chair and ignored everyone until it warmed up just before dinner time.

I only did 3 sessions due to being quite sore from day 1 and 2.

I caught up with 4 days of drinking on the final night.

I met Bigheartedtone off here, so hello again tone.

Got home at 1am Friday morning, up at 7am for work and not back home until 7pm.

That's it.

Do some more drinking next time!

Bumped into some of the NE crew in Castelloli who were heading to Aragon afterwards just for the beer. I think 'Sneaky Pete' was the chap we were chatting to til the early hours and then spent the next day playing out-braking games. He seemed to know you and had just passed his No Limits instructors test so was quite happy with life.

Seriously mate, don't do it badly. It hurts!

It's a fabulous circuit that's nice and flowing for most parts. The 2 places that the TDO's offer up are also pretty good with a choice of close to circuit and near town, or right out in the sticks where you can hone your hire car GP skills. A word to the wise, do not challenge McKeann to the hire car challenge!

Haha, the might fall off motorbikes all the time, but I'm still king of the hire cars

They were set up 2 awnings down from me. I was in the grandstand watching my mates in the 250 race at the time but another mate of mine in the awning next to me said he spotted 2 lads in tracksuits walking into my awning before realising there was someone watching them, then they walked off.

They rode the Ducati off with the paddock stand in the rear wheel still. Shame he didn't fall off and break his neck to be honest. Apparently security caught one of them but let him go when a van full of blokes turned up.... I also heard that it was being ragged up and down a housing estate in Derby and being used to taunt police on, although I'll be very surprised if the police did anything.

Some lad also had his helmet nicked but that was recovered I think

It's a stty state when things like this start to happen. I'm racing at Donington this weekend, and I'll double lock everything up between racing. Luckily, as I'm with an endurance team, I'll be in a garage, but even so.
How did you get on last Thursday, did you manage to get under 1:40, and how was racing ?
