So I broke my Cadwell duck yesterday. Well, I had done it about 12 years ago in a car...but bikes...
I'm not a wheelie hero, but the Mountain...haha. Ok, who the hell came up with that?
Not a huge fan of hall bends and the hairpin, but the rest of the track was absolutely...INSANE. I had an amazing day. Thanks to a friend who couldn't make it so I took his spot. Inters group, probably should have gone up to fast, but there were a handful of us going a bit faster.
The guys on the CB500's dominated the tight stuff, but got annihilated everywhere else.
So, Cadwell...yeah...I'm so glad it was dry and sunny.
I'm doing my first day there on 22nd September, can't wait. By all accounts it's an awesome track but watching videos it looks quite tight and hard to learn, should be good funI'm not a wheelie hero, but the Mountain...haha. Ok, who the hell came up with that?

Well that's that fooked. Don't take this the wrong way, but patience is a virtue on a trackday. Sometimes driving past on the exit is far better (and cheaper) than diving in under braking.
Yep lesson learnt, easier said than done when you ride a baffled 750. You don't pass 1000s in the fast group on the exit unless you run very good corner speed. I've ridden my mates S1000RR on track and it's so fast you can do that much more easily. st luck for me on this one. Might try chemical weld but really think I need to split engine and get it properly welded Fleegle said:

I can't understand how that damage has come about from a gentle crash in the gravel????
Piece of gravel trapped between case and moving chain?Who sells case or chain guards. Im going to try and ally poxy weld it then fit a case guard but failing that I'll pull the lump out and have it welded...just a ball ache and time to do it for a simple drop
Bought the ally weld but decided to put it in the garage for a rainy day and get it welded properly. My uncle owns a fabrications firm in Maldon, Essex and is excellent with ally which is a bit of an art to master
Engine is out, trying to find my flywheel puller from the rebuild back at xmas then get the engine over to be repaired and welded and strengthened. I couldnt find a guard as such like I had on my mx bikes so I'll just get it triple thick ally welded in place
Until then I'll just sulk as a silly drop means I wont have it working for atleast 2 weeks. On a plus some of the pictures came out pretty good and although it was a fast track (I prefer tight technical) I will be back to try improve my flow round there
