Anybody got any UK days booked yet?

I’ve booked Oulton on the 2nd may, I’ll be hiring a bike again as it was way more fun than using my own bike.

I've not booked any UK days yet as deposits and flights for euros have taken priority. Absolutely love oulton though and I'll try and make it there and cadwell at least this year.

I'm braving Donington on the 3rd of March. Least if it rains I can try my new from last year Michelin wets.

Brrrr! Possibly quite chilly.

A late lazy start for me - Sat April 28th at Bedford with MSV.

Never done Bedford before - it's probably going to just be a wang up and down the airstrip to see if the bike works after it's post crash rebuild (still to be done) rather than any attempt at lap times.

Picked up this on the weekend for less than £1/cc

Hoping to get a few days in before I decide it's too expensive hehe

Thinking Pembrey weekend of 10th March for a day and then maybe a double header at Oulton if there is one in the next couple of months.

Any one else likely to head either way?

How did that go? I know a few people who were there for first TD of the year and ended up in the dirt.

Nice one Tom , great value tracker there ... but a double-header at Oulton will prob bring you quite rapidly to the cost conclusion ... be little change out of £300 nowadays if lucky , just the tracktime ...
Good luck mate and I fully intend to make it down to Pembrey this year as not just doing the same old same old forever - spread the net a little wider this year I hope smile

I love my srad 750, looks like the M/c has been changed? I've got an accosato on mine and it's like night and day.

Can't understand why anyone would book at TD in Feb, it was -3 here that day, you are all too impatient (or tight) at least wait until spring biggrin

Edit, just reread your original post and it was for your licence, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Cheers Graham. I know it will be expensive but hoping to justify it with the idea the bike is so cheap, with a couple of quid spent on it. Come time to sell I should see some of the money back which would pay for part of the track time.

Man maths at it's best rofl

If you head over to Pembrey give me a shout, It's only 2.5 hours from me on the M4 and I can get holiday at relatively short notice.
It's a cracker of a circuit, much preferred riding it on my missus' ZXR 400 than my old blade though as it suits lower capacity bikes imo. (or maybe I'm just a massive fanny?)

10 points for you! You have a keen eye, I only noticed after 5 minutes of wandering round the bike at the sellers house hehe
It isn't a brembo or anything fancy from what I can tell, looks like an OE fit from something newer and sporty but no idea how to tell what.

I've got to agree , there is no way I'd do a trackday in February. Far too cold for me

Picked this up the other day. After doing a few days on the Panigale (and falling off), I thought being more sensible this year would be a good idea! It comes with some good extras which will make it a decent track bike I hope. Next is to get some spare wheels, race body panels, trailer, tyres, talent, tyre warmers etc etc.

Any recommendations on where to go for tyre warmers and tyres (or am I being lazy again?)

Great track bike. I run similar for the same thinking with my Tuono

If your just a track day willy waver like me the uber ones are fine

If you want to take it seriously there are some that fwr supply in London that are very good but twice the price

As for tyres if new id also go fwr but again there's places for scrubs if you just want to run the odd day without spending loads

Id recommend Capit tyre warmers. They get the tyres so much hotter than my previous cheap pair. I think Yourmoto.co.uk are the best place for them

As for tyres I get all mine through Holbeach. Cheaper than FWR that are mentioned above in my experiences

Yeah, I agree about Capit warmers. I used to use the Blue BikeTek ones, and they didn't get the tyre consistently much above 60-70deg on anything but the hottest day, and it was inconsistent across the tyre too
The Capit warmers I have now get the tyre to 90 and it's all the way across the surface from edge to edge
I think the BikeTek ones I had may have just been a crappy pair, but the difference is night and day
