Sorry to read this - if you do look to repair the bike let me know as I have a few friends in retailers who I’m confident will be able to help parts wise .
Bit disappointing to hear it even allowed itself to high side what mode was it in? I thought even in Dynamic it wouldn’t allow that much slip
Wishing you a speedy recovery
Spot on, cheers, I'll very likely be in touch with you.Bit disappointing to hear it even allowed itself to high side what mode was it in? I thought even in Dynamic it wouldn’t allow that much slip

I've been having a think about how I want to approach the rebuild, and depending on what Micks assement of the bike is after he's looked it over I might get him to build it in to a track bike for me.
It was in Dynamic Pro mode but my ecu had been rewritten by Crowey to match his Gen3 RR race ecu so there's a good chance the TC settings have been altered from stock. It has/had audible TC as well so if only I'd been able to run without a baffle I might have been able to hear it kick in and wind my neck in a bit.
Was at Snetterton on Sunday (20th), first time there, naturally after all these days of glorious sunshine we woke up to a very wet track and rain.
Changed to wets and managed to get two sessions in before lunch, thankfully the track started to dry and I could actually start finding my way around and learning the lines.
Great circuit and definitely one I'll be returning to, just wish it wasn't such a drive to get there!

Silverstone bound for me yesterday - first time here in 5 years (I started track days 2016 and went here on my third track day riding the good ol trusty K1 750)
Forgot how fast and abrasive it is on tyres (and sliders). Had a lot of fun and was run really well. Did find quite a mixture of riders in the fast group. It is just a track day but the difference was the most noticeable I've seen this year with some being Bemsee club racers and others I think giving fast group a go after being inters for a while. Doesn't bother me I just read the track and riders best I can but couple of red flags in the morning kinda highlighted this a bit
I got one video upload just after lunch here. I had a cheeky slide at about 2:18 and a few issues in the morning having just fitted an L74 system. The spacer was a touch too big so TC wasn't reading. Had the bike cutting out and threw up the engine light. I just turned it off and tbh barely noticed as the TC isn't great on this bike. I did have it fixed for this video but it didnt even pickup the slide
https://youtu.be/-gQRP4XrejM
And another following someone who's fairly active on the super moto scene and within a group on TAF an aprilia FB page. His ducati V4R was savage! Its soooo fast and I actually couldn't believe how good the electronics were watching him. I see multiple times slide control working and its amazing although same corner I slid on so does John although bike absorbed it really well
Both uploads the Garmin decides to freeze randomly and I cant work out why. Doesn't do it on the Aprilia or mx bikes but does every time on the GSXR - maybe the frequency?
https://youtu.be/gjo1siEuhOE
While fixing/removing the sensor as couldnt be bothered with it in the morning I was captured so elegantly here. Thinking this could be the start of an only fans account...

Pics come through today. Found quite a few I liked. Still surprised how much Silverstone chewed up my tyres Vs other tracks. Next track day now is snett 12th and 13th July for the yearly TAF although I'll take both the Aprilia and gsxr as tbh I don't really like riding the Tuono on track. Decks out easy and not really setup to be ridden like that

Out of interest those of you who take vans etc, how many spares do you usually take?
For trackdays, I tend to just take spare wheels and that's about itOut of interest those of you who take vans etc, how many spares do you usually take?
If it's a Euro, I'll also take spare clip ons, foot pegs, screen and a few other little bits
For racing, I take pretty much spare everything you could ever need unless I total the bike, and generally then, I'm ready to go home anyway

Yes I imagine you would be...For anyone who's camped at Cadwell in the last couple of years, is it OK? Doing a car TD there in a couple of weeks wondering where to stay the night before - I can stay at a mate's in Sheffield but it's then 1.5h to get to circuit in the morning. I'd ask in the "proper" trackday bit, but you guys know better

So had my yearly TAF (The Aprilia Factory) Track day. Having done this every year since 2017 the venue was changed to Snett and 2 days
Weather looked iffy (who would have thought in July!) So took my GSXR too with wets & slicks in the trailer in case I fancied a dabble...which I did second day
Rained hard all night and track was standing water first session but luckily 20 odd degrees meant second session a bit of a dry line was forming in places and third session it was 80% dry if you kept on the line

By fourth session I switched to the Aprilia and it really is chalk and cheese when you go from a road bike set for road then a dedicated track bike or vice versa. I set the Aprilia on firmest everything but it was still soft and I had big brake fade mid way through each session...poor thing
Video here on the second day morning session before a red flag >>> https://youtu.be/SRErYotQyCg
Had a few of them silly Ducati's try join in but they were all show no go (Waiting for someone to bite...)
Bought an epic cowboy hat which I wore with pride the entire time - even the girls in no limits commented on its 'quality'
Then next day I switched to the Suzuki as my Aprilia front pads were pretty much shot...the GSXR actually took me a lap or so to get back into the swing of it but blimey they are quick them IL4's when you get them screaming vs my Tuono!
Video here second day afternoon session >>> https://youtu.be/GMZFP8N0zI0
My very clever dainese leathers when I plugged in showed 1.59-2.01s as an average depending on traffic so I'm pleased with that
Now birthday tomorrow - try not get too hammered, racing sunday, work monday and Cadwell Tuesday/Wednesday

Cadwell for me beginning of this week - amazing couple days although the heat was a bit much for some of my lot that sat out the last couple sessions
I had gay pride put over pretty much everything throughout the two days as a belated birthday
Kept myself entertained while my mate changed tyres
Got bored while queuing for sign on
Oh and I video'd a few sessions. Here's one >> https://youtu.be/CXldNuIAALM
