Behold, the beast……
Hadn’t noticed earlier in the day, but the front was squaring off too.
The bike was completely inappropriate, but equally bloody brilliant. I was just petrified of binning it as my mate uses it to commute.
I couldn’t actually use all of the rear tyre as the pegs were scraping with about 10-15mm of tread left. Tried hanging off more, but I’m old and scared so not very good at that.
The photo also gives an indication of how empty it was - this was at lunch time, not end of the day, when the garages would normally be heaving.

Have a spot at the Bike Shed evening at Brands (Indy) on Thursday 7th July which I can’t do. Nice relaxed crowd, nobody on race reps with slicks (last one I went to a couple of R9T’s & a GS1250 were pretty much the fastest things on track!!) if anyone is interested let me know, I paid £75…

I'm taking the rear hugger off my track bike to make it easier to put the warmers on etc, problem is the chain guard uses the hugger as one of its fixing points. Looking around other bikes on track days and many don't have chain guards...what do you all have?
Most people don't run one, for racing you need a shark fin but not the top chain guard. I really need to book myself a day this year, nearly 3 years since I've been on track and broke my race bike for parts partly Covid partly buying a house and partly having a lack of enthusiasm for bikes for a while. Proper in the mood at the moment so must get the Tuono on track!
