Anyone used Wezmoto brake lines? I'm thinking about changing the ones on my CB1300 and these are coming in at £100 rather than the £180 for Goodridge or £150 for Hel.

This of course makes me suspicious.

I have them on my track bike. Fit was perfect and well priced. I'd buy them again.

Following this, need to order some new lines for my trackbike project.

I think they are all much the same?

Well that's what I was thinking, you've got some braided hose and crimped ends. How different can they be!

Although My preference was always for Goodridge (years of advertising and messing with cars) I've recently been using HEL as the kits always seem to be that little bit more comprehensive. I've no doubt other brands will be of similar quality, but make sure you get proper stainless ends and fittings whichever brand you go for.

An £80 saving for the key component in the list of items which determine whether you live or die - what's the worst that could happen?! tongue out

I would always go for screwed on ends , the original on the sb6 were crimped on and all the crimped ferules (sp) split ! I'll try and find a pic , quite scary to find them in that condition .

Agree on the HEL kits being more comprehensive. Recently bought a set of Goodridge for my car - didn't realise that it was hoses only - no U clips, no banjo bolts and no copper washers. I am sure a kit that I bought years ago contained all of the above. Plus you can spin HEL ends using a Biro.

I have bought some Wezmoto brake lines in the past, quailty as good as goodridge hoses, and his customer service is top notch. I would buy from him again

Well I just had a refund as they don't do the kit for my bike anymore. It's a CB1300 with ABS, not entirely sure why this would complicate anything.

So.... HEL are good?

Yes, I've used both HEL and Goodridge, and Quality of the product looked identical to me, but the HEL kits seemed to come with more "stuff" rubber clips, washers etc.

There's an article in last months Practical Sportsbike showing you how to make your own, buying a roll of hose and screwed ends etc.
Might work out more cost efficient if you have more than one bike that needs doing.
Plus you can get them to fit exactly how you want, alignment etc.
I can remember the brand off the top of my head. It was well known though.

Making up your own braided lines is actually quite easy, not that I had a choice because it was to convert my mates bike so he could ride with just one arm and nobody makes a kit off the shelf for that smile
