And what's the deal with the app you were hsing? How's it work, where can you get it, etc
I used lap timer on my triumph for fear of wrecking my phone, like I did at croft. It turned out to be not very reliable due to IBM, (idiot behind the machine) I'd think I was hitting the same point every time but I clearly wasn't, difficult to do at 90, sometimes id be a second or two out. And trust me, apparently that matters when you claim a time
so I started using race chrono. it sometimes misses a lap or two but generally its ok for free.

Maybe get a gps logger/timer? If you can add channels like tps etc you can start to review your riding and identify areas of improvementIt turned out to be not very reliable due to IBM, (idiot behind the machine) I'd think I was hitting the same point every time but I clearly wasn't, difficult to do at 90, sometimes id be a second or two out. Raffle anecdotes...
In 1991 My Dad won a CBR600FM in the IOM TT Raffle, He still has it, i will be pushing it in the hole after him!!
I was PR Manager for Pirelli/Metzeler a few years back, and we ran a draw to win an SV1000 with a Dream Machine paint job in a major mag, i rang the bloke up on the random ticket we pulled, and he told me to stop bothering him, and to post it to him, and slammed the phone down THREE times, picked another ticket and the next bloke was over the moon, presented to him at the NEC.
