Not just cleaned but rebuilt and bench flow tested....twice...everything else is all set up as the book (YPVS, oil pump, throttle adj etc, new air filter, a new fuel tap, new fuel lines, tank is rust free), sometimes it will go as it should, and others (most of the time now) its "normal" to a certain point, always starts first /second kick, motor sounds great... but then goes flat as it should make power, its either fuel starvation or something electrical , almost feels like the power valves are not opening....I cant make my mind up which it may be now, possibly it has both issues...!
I can bimble around on it with no bother but after Sundays run out, it got really frustrating, its now off to be investigated by Krazy Kat dyno & then , hopefully, he will set it up straight after, hence removing the bodywork.
Im pretty sure its something simple but its beyond what I can diagnose/rectify now.
Gutted as on Saturday I was hoping to take it to the RD500 meet in Stratford upon Avon but I dont want to risk causing it some serious damage..
Did you get it sorted?I can bimble around on it with no bother but after Sundays run out, it got really frustrating, its now off to be investigated by Krazy Kat dyno & then , hopefully, he will set it up straight after, hence removing the bodywork.

Ill post back when I have the diagnosis.
I took a quick ride out this afternoon to check everything worked before the 6 hour training course I've got booked tomorrow. It's pretty hot in full textiles but the views were worth it. I also discovered that the nasty bitumen banding stuff they use to fix cracks in the road gets really slippery when it's 33 degrees and sunny!

Got myself a New Red Bike this week Bloody lovin' it!
Only irks are the mirrors. Probably going to get a pair of bar end jobbies which will mean I can actually see what's behind me
Shes a stunner, exhaust system looks a work of art and suits the bike so well...congratsOnly irks are the mirrors. Probably going to get a pair of bar end jobbies which will mean I can actually see what's behind me
I've been bikeless for two months now and the itch was set off something rotten when I fired my Dad's Thruxton R up in his garage. Can't beat the noise, vibration and excitement even after the (very borrowed) car I turned up in.

Had a nice ride today, the weather at the border was a bit st with gusting wind and drizzle, so I turned round and headed back away from that. I also took an extended trip over a long section of loose chippings (well over a mile). That stuff is awful to ride on. I was so glad to be back on proper tarmac.
