Oil filter on tight?
Ha forgot to say! Heat of the day expanded the petrol in the tank and through it out a breather! Can't praise my local bmw dealer enough! Quick phone call and they explained what it was.Worried me because the petrol melted the Tarmac underneath making it look my oil like and it was also right under the oil cooler!

Purchased this today....had sat in the chaps front room since restoration, you could eat your dinner off the engine, its in for a shock when I get it home..
Cracking stuff. Is this an addition or a swap ? Popped to some local bike thing tonight, some cracking smoker porn. My phone died or I would have got some photos
I saw your man Dodge. ( I think it's you that knows him, if I remember correctly ) My mate was telling me he's been practicing for the wheelie record again. That bikes a animal.

That's good to know.
Is the clearance big enough to get a thin, ACF50'ed cloth fed down to clean/protect?
The alternative are the R&G 'non-cut' fairing bungs, but these are not a nice design.
No chance of getting a cloth in there ... but in all honesty removal is barely a five min job. The tricky one is the clutch cover as one of the bolts is under the fairing edge so a bit tricky to get at... Is the clearance big enough to get a thin, ACF50'ed cloth fed down to clean/protect?

I would just rinse out regularly with soap and water.

Less chance of corrosion and they probably won't hole like my R&G ones did on a simple low side.

Where is the corrosion coming from? the engine covers are heat treated paint and the covers are plastic!?http://www.performanceparts-ltd.com/road/honda/357...

Ah I see, well it certainly looks like a lovely bike "Wheelie Shaun" is yhe chap I know of who is a bit of a mono magician, what meet was you at?
The meet was at the Leigh Arms pub in Acton Bridge, I think they do it once a year. I only heard about it at the last minute but thought id pop down as its only a few miles from my house. Pretty good selection of bikes on show and for such a small local thing.
