KR1 was delivered this afternoon..it was running lumpy when I viewed it and I thought it was the plugs as the owner started it every few months but never rode it anywhere..
A quick change of the heavily fouled plugs (check out how clean that engine/fairing is !! ) and she fired up on 2 with no bother, I did around 15 miles on it, its stumbling a bit top end , which is most likely carbs and/or kips valve adjustment.
I swear its no heavier than my GFs YBR125.
It turns beautifully and the gearbox, brakes are perfect..whilst out on the test ride I hit a pigeon at 80ish MPH, thankfully it struck the headlight square on so no damage done, I hope the fker has a headache for weeks...

Boy, they don't make bikes like these anymore! Took her out for her maiden run to make sure everything was tickety boo. Such a soft but mighty twin. She feels hewn from granite and has this lovely mellow rumble that crescendos to rolling thunder, where you feel the pistons thumping like a giant heartbeat. Her chassis rolls with a firm touch, and her front end reads the tarmac as Braille to your fingertips. Past 6k rpm and she breathes deep and lunges to her red line, like a giant organic rubberband. She isn't raw and angry like my Ducati - instead she feels like a grande dame who knows the moves. Her name is 'Maggie'
That is a thing of beauty...My friend will never part with his SP1, they certainly seem to get under your skin...StuB said:

New track bike - yeah. Off to buy a hoody.
Looks very tidy. When you out on that then?
Mallory at the end of this month, just so I can say "flipping 'eck!" a lot presumably, then at the Aug 15th Snetterton do with everyone else off here it seems. If we survive them both then it's out to Aragon in September. All with No Limits.

It is a K8. What makes you specifically say K8 rather than K7/8? Just curious.

If it's the Friday 24th I'll be there so give us a wave. If it's not that day then don't bother waving as I won't be there.Mallory at the end of this month, just so I can say "flipping 'eck!" a lot presumably, then at the Aug 15th Snetterton do with everyone else off here it seems. After 12 month forced lay off im back on the road. Jobs done in downtime. Factory pro modded the clutch basket, replaced selector arm and spring, full service. New billet Paioli forks, billet adapter made and K-tech 35ds Pro rear shock fitted. Found a guy whos a brilliant titanium exhaust fabricator so full new system made. Ditched the Ex-Up and all the weight. Sounds spot on, no flat spots noticed as of yet. Exhaust fabricator Liam Abbott Racing, if anybody needs his number just email me. The bike rides really nice, just need to get fit. My mates took some pics, Cheers Roy
