kinked or split fuel line?
Nah, checked them - I did think when it was happening it might have been not getting enough fuel, but when it was running rough it smelt very rich, you could smell the unburnt fuel, and it was popping and backfiring like a beast at 3-4k rpm. Which would imply that it's not getting enough spark to ignite the fuel, also when it was cutting out while idling giving it some throttle just made it cut out quicker.

I bought some EBC HH sintered brake pads for my commuter thundercat recently as the brakes have never been much good. I went to fit them today and upon pumping the pistons out to give them a scrub with a Toothbrush I discovered that only 1 out of 4 pistons on each side was actually working. The pads that were in there look fairly new so whoever last changed them must have not bothered checking the pistons or cleaning anything.

Both calipers off, got the compressor out to remove the stuck pistons and ordered some new seals. I'll be giving everything a good clean up whilst I wait for the seals to arrive and the brakes should actually work then! Found that it's got braided hoses which was a bonus, I'm using it on 2 trackdays next month so was going to stick a set on whilst the calipers are off but no need now
Good job you didn't fit pads that only work when they're hot then.

I've got sintered brembo pads on my Aprilia and have absolutely no issues when the brakes are cold. EBC HH sintered on my ZX7R as well and no issues....

Time to check the plugs, gaps and leads then? Then the coil pack I guess...

Has it been sat a while? Moisture ingress?

Plugs look good, the normal brown colour - leads are good too, should be in the region of 5k ohms resistance, both were at 4800.

I've got a coil on it's way, I'll fit it then try to have a test ride locally, to get it up to temperature.

Not at MX we don't , I assure you Rick !
However , first Enduro entered , Easter Sunday April 16th , 1.5 hours straight should be interesting !
My bike is currently being made rideable and efficient as it proved to have had an aftermarket " V-Force" reed valve fitted , a supposed performance upgrade , but mine , proving hard to start , tickover and then revving madly once hot , has over half the reed area missing in action , looking forward to getting it back fully fettled and user friendly again , with anything needed doing being done , all at less than a pair of road tyres expense !
smile
Good luck, im sure you will enjoy. You will be ready for a beer after 1.5 hours of that drink

The shed has lights.

Powered by and 10 year old car battery thst was on it's way out

15m of led strips, I got 5 hours of light from the fked battery before I got hungry and went home. I just take the battery home and charge it.

Cost about £20. Night and day I can now work when it's dark.

The MOT man , he say "Yes"..

Last time I went out on it, on a brief ride a few weeks back, it wasnt running that well, a little bit reluctantly I popped some fresh fuel in it after the MOT and bugger me, it was flying, hitting 120 with no bother, not sure whether its because the fuel I had in it was a bit old(but the 350 ran fine on it) or I hadn't put enough in it(only a few litres I think) I dont know but it has a great kick to it as the PVs open and is revving out beautifully, sounds bloody marvelous too.

Hooked up with my NS400 owning mate and had a had a thrash about for most of the afternoon, getting off on each others 2 T fumes! Very chuffed and relieved.
