Is it Yamaha's own or something like a R&G (guess it's for the MT-10 looking at the 'Transformer' logo)? Is the channel bit at the top optional to use (I guess it's included to make the 'tidy legal) and I guessing optional indicator bracket for Yamaha & non-Yamaha indicators, you'll have more left over than what you'll use.
Looking at different ones for the S1000R and surprised which different ones had different numbers of parts.
By the way, let me know if you're replacing the indicators, wouldn't mine buying some proper snap in Yamaha LED ones for the FZ1.
Was asked by a friend to "clean" a 1200 GS that had done a few miles over a couple of Winters, involved some light rust removal in some areas as well.
Took me 6.5 hours and around approx £20 in materials...how much, if at all, would you pay for such a service?
I quite enjoy it and am considering it as a sideline to the day job.
Some before and afters.
After.
Before
After.
Etc
Some effort required her..
Much better
Paintwork after some scratch removal and a polish.

I still have not got around to fitting it or even looking at the original one to see if I can make the new one fit without the cradle bit.
I have in the past used R&G for tail tidys. I quite like their stuff.
I am refitting the original indicators.

Thats in line with what I was thinking, these "all year biker" types dont put that much effort in from what ive seen but they do chuck some ACF50 over it .Snot worth getting out of bed otherwise.
Anyone use AYB and care to comment on the + and - of their service and cost?
That is amazing work Podman, do you do a mobile service?
Can you please list the products you use as the stuff i use never gets my bike that clean. Also how do you get in all the small areas without skinning your knuckles.
I am pissed off as i went out a couple of weeks back, glorious sunshine mid 20's and then the heavens opened. The bike is a mess after being on wet fen roads, there are some areas i just can't get at!

At £150 a clean I'd consider leaving it a few years then trading it in for a new one before the arse rots out of it...
Trust me.Plenty of people out there will happily pay that money for such work.
One thing I learnt from over 10 years of professional detailing is charge what you feel is a fair rate for your services. You will always get people out there who want it done cheaper but that is a fact of life in any industry. But quality costs and people will pay it. By all means discount for a job to fit a customers budget but never short change the value of your time.
