Not sure if anyone on here owns or has ridden a diavel but they are a cracking bike for what they are. Given its weight and size it's pretty quick and barring the gear and brake lever decking out can still take a corner OK
I really want a Diavel 'next', but given I only obtained my license in April, I think I need some more time on my Monster 821!

I think the Diavel insurance is crippling, so I can but dream.
Still try get a test ride. Ive not ridden one but watching my mate crack it open out of the corners sounded and looked like something out of the Terminator movie

Honestly think upto 100 or so that would surprise a few sporty bikes. Think MT10 territory

A motorcycle befitting a gentleman of my age and social standing.

Its comfortable, it wheelies, it weaves at high speed, its loud, it knacks rear tyres like they're going out of fashion, it drinks too much and like its owner its ugly.

I have my oxford tail bag fitted so I can keep my thermos cup and other odds and sods in, I also ride it wearing my jeans, trainers and paddock jacket.

6 months in and I have defiantly made the right decision of not buying another R1 for the road.

BN, I have seen a few of these MT10's round Northumberland recently, often amidst a pack of sportsbikes. They certainly look the part and aren't struggling to keep up! Glad to hear you are getting on well with it. I could fancy a super naked in future, I'd rather be on an S1000R than the RR.

Wife put some Gold stickers on my bike today. And I finally went for my first ride on it after replacing starter solenoid, repairing starter motor, changed battery and a jump start off the car! (engine off )
Very different bike the CB650F I did my DAS on, can't wait to get to grips with it!

I took my dad to collect a 1991 CBR600 today as we are doing a classic trackday (pre 94) at cadwell in September and his Thruxton doesn't fit the bill.
He said it currently rides like a pig but it does have square, flat tyres and the rear shock has no preload on it at all so should be easy to sort.
Other than that it's a pretty tidy old bike.

Meanwhile my bike for the trackday currently looks like this...

I did get it running today, first time in 8 years its been started and once it had fired up once it would sit and idle nicely, well happy. Many many things to do before it is anywhere near usable though!

Edit: fking photobucket fking everything up on forums the fking s. Forced to use tinypic as I can't find another one thats actually any good and that doesn't even fking work itself. s.

I downloaded the imgur app but could not for the life of me find out how to get the code to post to the forum.

Yeah, I assume it's pre 94 so that they actually get a good turn out of bikes. My zxr is 1991 which is actually one year older than me at 25!

Eh up Scunnylad. Nice photo there.
I'm just wondering about the rear bag on the HP2 if I can be nosey?
Is it raised up a bit to allow the hot air out or are the vents blocked?
I am looking to do a trip on mine but I was told not to use a rear bag. Not only for weight on an unsupported seat but for keeping the c/f cool.
I don't want to have all my gear on my back and any tank bag will ruin the riding position.
TIA.

I am seriously considering one of these! test rode one a few weeks back for half hour and loved it!
