Most of the lads round here use morrisons petrol station to wash their bikes.
That's a double edge sword, for one you have to unload and reload the bike on the way home and laziness dictates there's an easer option and then there's the fact some tosser has just pulled up in his audi wearing crocodile shoes ready to jet wash his pride and joy stepping out into a mud bath podman said:
Back on topic, RPM bikes in Northampton had a dyno day today so I stuck the storm on, it made 107RWHP and 69ft lb of torque at 5,300RPM, seeing as I havent done a thing to it bar a set of second hand cheapo end cans and Honda only state 110BHP, I was very pleased with that.
Was the chap still there with the 16 plate ZX10R that ran 198 bhp at the tyre ! A

Loaded up ready for tomorrow, the pic is of my new toy, a petrol pressure washer and 100ltr water butt. Had enough of jet washing all the mud onto my drive when I get home so this should make life easer, its only a little one ( clark 1800) but seems to work well from my garden testing
It means loading even more st into the van but hopefully its worth it, I am more exited about using this than watching the lad ride
I'm at a 2 day race meeting with my boy right now and we run a similar setup. I have a 220lt (I think) old pull drum emptied out and filled with water wedged in the corner of the van It means loading even more st into the van but hopefully its worth it, I am more exited about using this than watching the lad ride
Means I can get his bike spotless no matter how poor the weather is
Quick picture I got of him today in his first race. Not bad for an old phone camera I thought

Thats some proper torque. Just shows what a big vee Twin can do! My mv agusta dragster 800rr made about 3 brake more but was loads less torque

Looking good, Holy st 220 litres lol. That's enough for some seroiuse jet wash time, I timed 100ltrs at 16 minuets for mine, even taking a bucket and sponge with me to do the job properly Have a good one tomorrow and the weather looks better than today, no road bike time for us Means I can get his bike spotless no matter how poor the weather is

New bike day, Aprilia Tuono V4 APRC...tiny fuel capacity, tiny water capacity (so hot in traffic), hard shiny seat, crappy side stand, but a mad little thing and no regrets chipping in the Honda. The loudest and best sounding stock exhaust I've heard!
Sadly my Dad passed away 2 weeks ago. My brother sent me this photo of him from the early 60s with his cafe racer TR6 (his younger sister is sitting on it) . I used to have a load of photos of it without the fairing.
He had massive influence on us, we all followed him when it came to cars and bikes and my son is another chip off the block.

Thank you, Ive got so many memories of him connected to cars and bikes. He was a decent Kart racer in the early 70s as well. That photo was taken in Scotland, he'd rode up from London.

Sorry to hear about your Dad. If he's got you all hooked on cars and bikes then he did a great job.

It's from Fowlers (Bristol) - I got a surprisingly keen deal on it, 5k miles and valves freshly done (one out of tolerance) It's a 2013, I'll keep an eye out for a seat as I'm struggling a bit with nut crunch!
I think I'll end up putting a power commander or bazzazz on it if only to correct the AFR (I'm aware there's a 'race' ECU, but not 100% convinced on it)...I'll try not to change the exhaust, although man maths on the remap will kick in and I probably will...

Thanks Podman. Possibly Dumfries, can't be sure but that is where his sister (on the bike) grew up. Although born in England he spent his childhood in Tillicoultry/ Alloa area so could be there as well?
I'll go with your second guess as that looks very like the Ochil Hills in the background.Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
