After 14yrs the old ZZR failed its first test under my ownership this morning, warped front discs. Nothing else for it, It failed me , it was time to say goodbye. Picked this up this afternoon. Different, but I am enjoying it loads.
Warped discs = new bike, your a harsh master..biggrin

Enjoy the new bike, they look cool in an ugly kinda way..!
I quite like the looks but that pannier looks perilously close to the exhaust I would be worried about the heat on a spirited run so might be tempted to stick some heat reflective tape on the bottom
Cheers both, I will have to look at the pannier. I keep on finding things on it like a Full service history, Full Z-technik titanium exhaust and living under the seat a power commander. The ironic thing is it has recently had the front discs and pads replaced.

Lovely looking 636, I'd have that in a heart beat. Are those aftermarket indicators on the back with a cut reg plate guard?

Weather st and wind dangerous but needed to get out to test my new screen, ugly as fook but from the short ride I have deduced it has completely transformed the bike. Cruising speeds are up and hard acceleration into big numbers no longer has my helmet shoved into my face witch makes my vision impaired .

Weather or not all this is a good thing is going to be a test of my luck but its staying on for now,

I've got a real soft spot for these, you say the screen is ugly but, it seems to suit the bike perfectly to me, all very pointy and weird angles. smile

I've always wanted one of these. There's a camo coloured one on AT at the moment.
Even had the poster on my wall as a kid.

Cheers! Only a phone picture as well, set on timer and burst mode.

Yup. Cut job on the guard isn't the greatest and needs to be tidied/evened up a bit.

Bike was a steal, picked it up in May with only 16000km on the clock and 12 months rego (which is a great thing in NSW). It's bloody mint, already put 6000km on it.

Was that hot pressure? Was just thinking when looking at your photos that there wasn't much tyre compression/tyre on the track.

Might just be my old eyes though, looks like you had a good clear dry day though.

Great picture OP - first time I've seen one of these being used for what its designed for and using panniers where they don't get fouled up with traffic either side to prevent filtering smile

And no Mr Child I've ridden on roads worse than this in Spain on my fully givi luggaged up blackbird that wern't considered unpaved by Tom Tom. Had a puncture and resulting fleecing for €300 from a honda dealer in Bilbao for a new rear tyre to confirm that too! I can laugh about it now wink

Fingers crossed Bryan.

A video of it on the move would be nice for old timers like me,
