The Flying Doctor has died after an incident in practice at Skerries.

Really sad news, saw him at the NW200 and was mightily imoressed.

RIP, he'll be missed.

Likewise saw him at northwest, was actually having backmarkers slow him up in superbike race. RIP

I didn't know him personally but he was exceptionally well regarded by many of my colleagues. A true ambassador for trauma medicine and hopefully one of his passions, the provision of an air ambulance in NI will be realised.

Many people still racing/walking/breathing due to this man and his fellow volunteer doctors

Heard about this at the weekend and was gutted. He has done so much for so many people and as mentioned he was super fast and was being held up by some of the back markers at the races!
